I like that mask! I have been lurking the backyard metal casting forum recently, and thought it would be cool to do. I however, can't seem to find a quality refractory, and I'm not about to waste time with "home made" refractory! lol

I happen to have a skid of firebricks, 200 total bricks, that are rated up to 2000 degrees. I also have extra casting boxes and crucibles. Got any interest in making a deal? I can get some pics, specs, and the like together...

I might be interested in a smallish crucible! Maybe a 3-4" Dia. graphite!?! Something in the 1-3BTC range! I've been interested in making custom water cooling blocks out of copper, or silver!  |

The smallest I have is a size 8 graphite cruicible, rated to almost 3000 degrees F. It has a 6 inch diameter across the mouth. Larger than what you are looking for.... but these are the BEST. Want some pictures and a price?
edit: would be more than 3....

I'd like a few transmission bellhousings but it would require a lot of work to figure out the mold alone oO; Let me know if you have any interest in such, as it would be quite an amount of work to figure them out, but you could make a good deal of money selling them to the right audience  Nevermind they would be kinda big. |

Indeed it would still need machining, there is some people who make the custom bellhousings, but asking 700£ for each which still requires machining, and he only makes 5 or less per year, doing castings only once a year ... It might be just easier to fabricate |
