Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Debit Cards are processed as "Credit Cards" through whatever merchant the card is issued through (Visa, Mastercard, etc). When a seller processes a card online, it doesn't care whether it's a "credit" card, or a debit card. It only cares that the merchant approves the transaction, and releases the funds.

So the short answer is, yes, you can use your debit card as a credit card.

That explains alot , that "credit cards",are both debit and credit.I honestly dont believe in credit as the interest is too high.

I know for a fact I can't use my debit card as a credit card... Maybe it's different in other countries / banks?

I have a debit card but not a credit card and I use the debit card as a credit card so if you can buy it with a credit card, then you will also be able to buy bitcoins with a debit card.

In my country some cards have restrictions on internet payments. It not depends on card type (deb/cre) - only on its system/rate - all gold works, visa classic works etc. Some cards need to be "prepared" by bank to be internet acceptable. I think best place to consult is bank-issuer. Roll Eyes  And yes, almost all of our cards is debit.
