The hard fork that is part of SegWit2x isn't something you can put aside so easily.

I am a not entirely confident either. In the near short term, people will completely forget/discard this potentially upcoming hard fork (I say potentially because things might not play out as expected in the end), and thus completely lose themselves in the hype of having finally witnessed the activation of SegWit. In the same way people were shocked about seeing the price dump well below the $1900 level some days ago, they will be equally surprised when the price starts tanking prior to the potential hard fork -- people are too dumb to spot and calculate potential risks. That's how it has always been.

I actually felt like people were quite level headed about the recent dump. The alt coiners got a bit of a reality check when Bitcoin took most of the alts down with it, but apart from that people didn't seemed to fazed. I personally was more shocked by the fast and fairly stable recovery tbh.

Yes the price is about to reach 3000USD. This has come true because bitcoin prices are really getting very close to the target. But I am still worried about what happens after August 1, many say that bitcoin prices will increase and some say bitcoin prices will decline. This is indeed a difficult choice, but we can not avoid all of this. There should be an option to sell it now or do hold until the segwit is complete.

That was impossible the movement of the price is too slow if you want to see breaking $5000 but i think much possible price can be reach before this coming august 1 i think around $3k to $3,500 this is more possible price can be reach that your estimation but we don't know what will actually the price after august 1.
But i believe that the price can be increase more soon because other investors are just waiting for a safety of their investment after august 1.

So far the price has reached $2800 and once all blocks are BIP91 $3000 will be reach or even higher. I'm still yet quite surprised that the price has recovered almost to the same levels in that it was before of the recent drop in prices a couple of days ago, If the price are maintained  this could be considered positive because we need remembered that just the first half of the year + 1 month has passed so while still there are months more to pass until the end of the year it would not be all bad that the price would sit a little on those levels.

No one really know were bitcoin is heading right now, hard fork is still in the breach of bitcoin and the price is going to the $3000 dollar mark again I think these is the best time to really dump some bitcoin, because of the activation of the core dev. we can never say what price bitcoin will really went, and these all are just speculation regarding in what will really happen to bitcoin, if you don't have a secure wallet for bitcoin then just dump your coins because the risk is there in the upcoming August 1.

BIP91 ACTIVATED! Non-SegWit signaling blocks will be orphaned. Theoretically, mining pools will start rejecting blocks that do not signal support for SegWit (BIP 141). I think this will be really a good time not to dump our coins specially who it at $1800 in a recent dump. No need to panic as well in Aug 1. We may see new ATH come that date. The price is slowly moving around $2700-$2800 depending on the trading platforms you look.

To be honest, you are very funny to watch the way they sound different forecasts regarding the price of bitcoins of another crypto currency. Today we have seen very sharp over the past 2 weeks and the price jump, so definitely something convincing to say I would not today, because it is already approaching August 1.
