Are we heading towards an Indo-China war?

Another one, China's east may be a long way from the India border, but they'd also have a hard time shipping out their exports if war breaks out unless they can just go north and use routes on the Arctic. Travelling across the Pacific is not economical.

Russia has been trying to popularize the Arctic route (known as the Northeast Passage in the maritime dictionary) for quite some time now, but they haven't been very successful with it. Perhaps a future Sino-Indian war may make it happen.

Hopefully it doesn't go full throttle. War is never a good thing for any country. A war with these two who have the most military manpower available would be costly and it is likely that other countries would be dragged to the conflict. China can't intimidate india and i don't think any would budge here. Let's just hope for the best

I think the war will not happen, maybe just the situation that heats up, if the war happens it will be a disaster in continental Asia

Well, within a decade or so, the Arctic would be completely ice-free during the summer so I don't see why Russia and China will not try to use it. In China's case, they can more easily ship exports to North America. 

This early though, it seems the littoral countries are already arm gripping each other for possible resources there and for the routes... just like what's happening in SE Asia.

The fact that the Arctic will be ice-free this is not a fact, and as oil production on the Arctic shelf is not as easy as you imagine. Neither Russian nor Chinese have no such technology. The price of oil dropped and production in the Arctic is not profitable. And last there is the delimitation of the territory so in the near future is impossible.

There wont be war. If there is no war between Russia and USA with the series of provocations they have heard and we have seen all over the internet, or the issue of North Korea and USA then there still wont be war because no country can afford the outbreak of war by turning back the hand of time in relation to development especially when it comes war between contemporaries.

If there is no war between Russia and USA with the series of provocations they have heard and we have seen all over the internet, or the issue of North Korea and USA then there still wont be war because no country can afford the outbreak of war by turning back the hand of time in relation to development especially when it comes war between contemporaries.

Let's not forget Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine. We have witnessed war at our time.

One of the reasons why everyone is keen to use the Arctic passages is that the Egyptians are getting more and more unreasonable and arrogant with the Suez canal. Any ship passing through the Suez has to pay a huge fee, in addition to luxury items as bribes.

Haven't heard of this development. But it sure is risky to keep on relying on that canal. I remember Egypt sunk ships in there during some sort of conflict decades ago, forcing ships to go round Africa.
