Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Yeah, they used to do it by IP address.  That was really a pain when you shared the IP address with a whole bunch of other people.  If only they still gave out 5 coins.  Imagine getting those coins and forgetting you had em.  Then sold at $30.  It would be like some guy handed you $150.
