Just keep having the symbols around, it works the same as if you put mastercard or visa symbols on your websites, I know I've noticed it when sites I've regularly visited have decided to accept Bitcoins.

You should make a few posts in marketplace of this forum and other bitcoin related sites to let people know of your business and that it it accepts bitcoins. The "Bitcoin accepted symbol on your site will definitely help too.

Don't forget to make the rounds on other forums, including reddit. You'll get decent exposure there in addition to bitcointalk.
