When I updated Electrum some time ago, the readme file said to open it via terminal (as double clicking the file itself didn't work).
However, now even that doesn't work.

I open terminal in the Electrum directory and do ./electrum, but nothing happens.

Anyone else with a similar experience ? How do I open it ?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Which OS are you using, and which electrum version fails to start?

Did you +x electrum?

Usually you need to give permission to execute.

Yeah, you'll like need to give it execute permissions for it to run, but I'd assume it would give an error otherwise.

You could also try executing 'python electrum' to force it to execute via python.

OP shouldn't have created threads on multiple forums. Randall88 can you please close this thread so that people don't waste their time answering your question?
