Anyone knows why STRATIS is so volatile. Whenever DEV team announce something new there is a big pump and then few days later dump again.
In your opinion will this platform in near future compete with ETH for example? I couldn't find any ICO on this platform ...

I think Stratis has a high level of volatility because many people who participated in ICO took out their profits, this does not mean it's not a good coin. Stratis, in my opinion, is one of the best cryptos at the moment. Beginning 2018 we should not see prices less than 10usd for Stratis or earlier. Perhaps another reason is that many people are cold storing Stratis, and whales are aware of this, so they take this opportunity to make massive trades and gain more Stratis coins.

A lot of people are rushing to buy the bitcoin as much as they can to receive the rumour token just like bitcoin gold and 1 bitcoin will be equal to 10 bitcoin gold. As you can see we will be facing 25 october and that makes me feel better to buy stratis at that time of the bitcoin fork.

that part is usually true about any other altcoin! the dev team of any altcoin releases something new and hype it up in the news then there is a decent pump coming because of it. and every pump will have its dump too hence the big volatility of the whole thing.

This volatility is commonly happens in all altcoins. Its true that whenever the dev team has a project to launch obviously its price will come up, but there is a key point that all alts will uptrend, when the price of bitcoin will uptrend and reach it highest price, that i think strat will sure come up.

Looks like someone is getting serious now. If stratis is more volatile than many other altcoins, I believe it would be best suited for trading. It can produce some good profits if the holder rather trader has some knowledge of this coin and can come up with accurate predictions to. The more volatile a coin is, the bigger are the profits it can return. All depends on the holder of the coin.

I held a bunch months ago, was down heavy for months then all of a sudden it shot up. I would definitely use risk management if you're going to invest in this one.

Stratis is very volatile coin right from the beginning of ico launch the coin is volatile and bullish in nature but crossing 10 dollars it is taking so much time hopefully Stratis may touch 10 dollars soon

I highly doubt it will compete with a giant like ethereum. However I think the project is solid enough to compete with other smaller smart contract platforms, like neo even. It definitely deserves to be in the top 20. That’s my personal opinion and not financial advice though

Price volatility is what traders look for when trading because that is how they make their own money, as for Stratis, I think the hype is dying down and the team has not delivered anything substantial to make me think the project is heading to the class of Ethereum, ICON and NEO. Now people want to see your product that why most of these ICOs look to launch or close to their mainnet period so as to help the price and the project

When making my first investment in crypto last year I was deciding between STRATIS and Lisk. In the end I went with Lisk however STRATIS has also a lot of longterm potential. I think that the high volatility is not specific to STRATIS but almost all crypto.

Seems pretty typical of this market to be honest. When we're in a bear market, the price will dip down and pretty much hang around where it settles. But, if the team announces something, then you can expect a pretty good pump. Been watching this with a bunch of different coins the past few months. It's just people buying the rumor and selling the news.

Seems like pretty normal for this market, Most of the altcoins are hit right now and trying to get back with btc rising recently. I had invested some in stratis long ago and still holding them as it may raise in the future.

I think that's normal. When the project reaches a certain level of development, its volatility will decrease.

I don't know much about the Stratis but isn't it that most of the Altcoins here and even the Bitcoin are all volatile, and that's what most of us want right? we buy when the price is low then sell it high, it may be kinda stressful to manage and monitor but its one of the best ways to earn profit.

Stratis is very volatile because big whales did nt enter the coin so no big holding so price keeps fluctuations every day as per the news . if big whales enter Startis postions then we can see price at 100 dollars
