Don't fall for cloudmining, 99% of those companies are plain scams, the other 1% lets you carry all the risks for a small portion of the rewards.... Doesn't sound like a good deal to me

You're overthinking it about the S7's installation. The S7 has some sort of raspberry-pi attached to the machine, so you don't need an external computer. Everything is pre-installed, it's kind of plug-and-play... Just plug in your PSU, plug in the ATP cable (networkcable), surf to the web GUI from your PC, enter the details your pool shows you (the stratum+rpc server, port, username, password), then just let the ASIC hash...

Before even thinking about buying an antminer, answer philipma1957's question tough!!! IS you power cheap?

Cheap power has no meaning to me.

As cheap could mean 10 cents a k-watt to some one

How much is a kwatt for you?

1, 2 , 3 or 4 cents  you are in good shape.

5,6,7,8 you should make a profit

9,10,11,12 cents you have some risk

13 or more cents it will be hard to profit.

So before I give you lots of advice  what is your power cost?

If you are 1,2,3,4  buy the modified s-7 I linked to you.

If you are 5,6,7,8  buy an s-9 directly from bitmain

If you are 9 or more cents

go to hashnest.com  and buy  some s-9 cloud mining
