most people go with the biggest exchange that exists with the highest volume, just because everyone else is there:
that exchange would be poloniex
but ever since they started having problem after problem. with withdrawals, deposits, downtime, delays, ... (although many are fixed now) people started migrating to the next best thing: bittrex
to choose just visit the platforms and try them out and also make sure you read their terms of services first.

Totally agree, Bittrex has an above 190 altcoins and a solid trading volume. Also there is two-factor authentication for secure your tokens. |

I'm using bittrex.com and since bittrex have a lot of altcoins. It has a high volume and the biggest exchanges. your tokens are also secured in bittrex.com  |

They are all bad in their own way, but I guess Bittrex is least bad at the moment. Polo is kinda fine, other than the fact that glaciers move faster than polo support. I haven't had issues with them but keep hearing stories

Can be with ETH or USDT All say Bittrex is the best, I do not agree. A few months ago bittrex security could be hacked. And some traders lose BTC. This is terrible. Poloniex remains the best in my opinion. |

I am also using mostly bittrex and shapeshift ( https://shapeshift.io/#/coins). I've heard that yobit (yobit.net) has a lot of altcoins. |

maybe its the bittrex, but many people think yunbi can pump the altcoin most in China, like qtum, gxs, eos and so on, and some exchange only list btc, ltc before are starting to list altcoins

I totally agree with you, so many people choose bittrex as a tool to buy and exchange alt coins, I think the main thing that many people demand from bittrex is the low cost. |

I would recommend yobit and bittrex is best marketplace for trading altcoins you will more coins on yobit compare to bittrex etherdelta is also famous .

Yes, Polonies have the best volume, but lately they have a lot of issues with deposits. So my current choice is Bittrex. And if you are looking for more 'exotic' coins, yobit is your place. But they have terrible support. |
