In a few days the notorious August 1st is approaching, and it’s likely this day will be remembered for a long time. This week Bitcoin.com discussed the possible scenario of a user activated hard fork called “Bitcoin Cash” as much of the community doesn’t realize this fork will likely still happen despite Segwit2x’s current progress.

Bitcoin Cash is a token that may exist in the near future due to a user-activated hard fork (UAHF) that will bifurcate the Bitcoin blockchain into two branches. The UAHF was initially a contingency plan against the user-activated soft fork (UASF) announced by the bitcoin company Bitmain Technologies. Since this announcement, at the “Future of Bitcoin” conference a developer named Amaury Séchet revealed the Bitcoin ABC” (Adjustable Blocksize Cap) project and told the audience about the upcoming UAHF.

The article itself is actually quite informative.  There is some bias but it's subtle and it's among useful information.

Certainly better than reading through pages and pages of people saying "Bitcoin Cash is just a worthless altcoin that will get dumped to zero the second it happens", "Bitcoin Cash is to stop SegWit from destroying the real Bitcoin", and other misconstrued bullshit that most people are parroting just about everywhere.

That is the key word here "May exist in the next in the near future"

Nobody knows if it will still be around after August 1st date comes and passes.

So it just may just be a huge cash grab to the victims of fear and pessmictic reasoning against bitcoin for whatever their real agenda is.

The creators are located in China after all. Roll Eyes

Just because his Bitcoin Unlimited is now facing struggle for recognition, he is supporting BCC. He is always ready for such things.

So the drama is having a little twist this time. I could not understand why there are people who seem to have not got tired of all these shenanigans. While I understand that Bitcoin itself is a sea of ideas, opinions and the things in between, sometimes things can get too much for an ordinary guy like me to fully grasp and absorb.

As to Bitcoin Cash, I am predicting that it will just be another of those alternative coin we have in the market. It can exist happily but it will never be the original. Anyway, I have no problem with that if they want to have another coin bearing the name Bitcoin. I read somewhere that this is not actually a split but just another coin more like a spin-off or something...whatever!

Bitcoin cash decided to fork regardless the main network, they just want to create another altcoin, they want to take advantage of aug 1st to make some $$, unfortunately their share is so small in bitcoin and it won't cause any trouble.
