If you know about the battle between Tabaco companies / Governments / Pharmaceutical companies VS eCigarette

companies, then you will know what I mean. We all know cigarettes are one of the main contributors or causes for a wide

variety of cancers and illnesses and eCigarettes is the possible solution to this problem. { Disruptive technology }

The eCigarette companies has proven that their technology are better and less harmful than cigarettes, but Tabaco

companies, with the help of governments and pharmaceutical companies { nicotine patches & tablets } has started a ALL OUT

war against this technology, because they stand to lose BILLIONS. Some countries have BANNED eCigarettes, because the

Nicotine is harmful to people, but they allow cigarettes that are more harmful.

Bitcoin is fighting the same kind of battle against paid shills and sinister groups that are trying to destroy it with the spreading

of misinformation and "divide & conquer" tactics.

Will we win this battle against these giants or will we surrender in defeat?  Huh

Nice comparison. But who is trying to destroy Bitcoin?
As far as to my knowledge, countries are stepping forward to legalize it. There are already 3-4 names in list and others trying to find out way. At the same time, there is hardly any country where Bitcoin is officially banned! So we are in win-to-win situation.
Chill bro, there is no war going on. Bitcoin is growing and spreading steadily.  Cheesy

Disruptive technologies will always be attacked. Luckily, most incumbents don't understand Bitcoin well enough to fight it

I`ve always though that eCigarettes are more harmful than the normal cigars.
Perhaps, this is due to the big tobacco corporations propaganda. Grin
Anyway, smoking is like doing drugs,it`s not healthy.
Compaing bitcoin with drugs is wrong.Using BTC is actually healthy. Grin

If you post your thought few years ago, i can agree with your comparison. However, we can see many countries are ready to legalize/accept/regulate bitcoin rather than ban/forbid it and they also acknowledge blockchain technology.
Maybe you should say that some people with power in bitcoin world is trying to take over bitcoin instead Roll Eyes

Some Assian countries are accepting bitcoin in legal measures. This never meant that big capitalist american companies will accept bitcoin. They will oppose bitcoin to save their income and cental systems.

The battle is just more subtle now... Most people will not even recognise it. The attackers are fighting this in another way. They

know that they cannot stop it, so they changed strategy. They are working on competing technologies and they are introducing

stall tactics to slow Bitcoin down. Once these Alternative technologies are matured, the intensity of the battle will increase. We have not

seen the end.  Angry

There is some logic in your comparison, reagarding that many banking systems still fear Bitcoin and other crypto currencu, don't support it in any way. Thats like the conflict before between cigarettes and ecigarettes companies. But still using Bitcoin and trading with it is a lot more healthy than smoking Smiley

I really don't agree with you on this issue. in recent times the scenario has been changed, many developed countries are going to take it as a legal currency, I think they have been able to realize their mistake what they thought about Bitcoin. so day by day its popularity is going up and acceptability also increasing at an increasing rate.

The survival of finance giants like Axa depends entirely on projects like bitcoin failing. Bitcoin is big finance's eCigarette

These companies will pressure governments to destroy it unless they can do better and do it from inside at very little cost.

I feel like governments and corporations are going to try to rollout their own competing currencies/blockchains, but are going to fail to gain the same mass adoption b/c people hate them deep down.

Even if they do succeed, BTC is still going to be the base default crypto that all currencies will have to go through

Cool analogy, but I feel like there is more acceptance of Bitcoin in society compared to  e-cigarettes and it is less popular. It's true that more and more countries are now starting to recognize the presence of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I do not understand what are the "divide and conquer tactics" being done. So far, I've seen good promotion and awareness for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It's a slow process but Bitcoin is increasing popularity little by little.

I wouldn't say that Ecigs are more harmful than normal cigarettes, though there hasn't really been enough research done on Ecigs to compare the two.
If you just think logically about it, there are around 250 proven harmful chemicals in regular cigarette smoke, compared to possibly 3 harmful chemicals in ecig smoke. (Nicotine, Propylene glycol and Vegetable glycerol)

I personally don't think this analogy is very good.

You may need to add in sugary drinks/ salty food/ salty snacks/ food with too many preservatives to your list also!

Also get rid of GMO stuff too.

But yes I do agree with you in this. BTC will succeed.

well yeah , but governments are realizing more and more that they can't do much in this situation
now with the legalization and other stuff we are seeing that governments are trying to benefit a little from bitcoin since they can't fight it or end it
anyways we all know that governments only care about money , so never give a damn about what they say

Government is always trying to get his share out of anything. There is nothing they will not try to grab what they can. If they can't it's forbidden to have/consume/smoke Cheesy

Same thing happening with bitcoin, few country's can smell the money they could make when getting involved in to this big pool of users. They can see the vast numbers of people getting scammed and can't resist to have a look, maybe they can learn some new tricks on how to fkc people over in a different way Smiley

I do not think it's the same thing even though there is little in common with it that is technology. I think times have changed and there will be many people who will support the technology because technology is growing rapidly and through technology we can get good benefits, like eCigarettes have good benefits and bitcoin has a nice profitable.

I don't know whether the comparison of the war between cigarettes and e-cigarette is relevant or not but one thing which I don't agree with is governments or big corporations or companies are against bitcoin. In most of the cases governments want to have regulations for bitcoin but that doesn't mean they are against it same is true for companies with any product they may not have realized the potential of bitcoin yet or maybe they don't find the acceptance of bitcoin to be more profitable but as more and more people are taking interest in bitcoin and becoming part of bitcoin community all the government and companies will be left with no option but to have some regulations for the use of bitcoin and start accepting it.

Bitcoin and digital currencies are the undisputed future of currencies. It's a process that has begun and can't be stopped now.
