I agree with you, when Bitcoin have issue about SegWit2x in August 1st, Ethereum is best choice after Bitcoin. Litecoin I think not best place because it follow the price of Bitcoin and will decreasing if Bitcoin falling down, maybe Monero, Dash, Zcash in that time will take advantage this happens and create big pump on market

Ethereum has been up and dump the price lately. Yes thats true the hack situation is the most problem of ethereum. As I can observe when btc downtrend ethereum also I think eth will recover the price.

Ether has opportunity to take the lead over bitcoin but it didn't benefit from that opportunity. Bitcoin has much more problems compared to ether. Ether can hit $500 this year. And I don't agree with you that hac situation is the problem of ether. No, it's not.

What is the correlation between ethereum and bitcoin's update ,i do not see that the price of ethereum recovering any time soon,they have some issues with scaling and they have sort that out first to see some changes in the price or to see another rally,other than that we could see the price hanging around the current price.

It is hard to bet on ETH benefiting too much due to BTC fork or related FUD.
Most coins have been rising and falling together recently.

This is only my prediction, but if you look at it a few weeks ago where Bitcoin had a big DUMP, almost all altcoins experienced the same thing as ETH. I conclude that altcoin still depends on bitcoin prices.

Yeah even though they're saying that the hard fork has nothing to do with the altcoins I think it have somehow affects the price of it as we always seen in exchanges, when btc dumps as well as the altcoins. So expect the unexpected things that might happen after the correction. We can't say that eth will go to the moon.

If Bitcoin goes down, then Ethereum will go down harder. As we have seen lately.

There can also be another situation. Due the update on august, people might convert btc to ethereum just in time for being safe or some other reasons. This can potentially make the price of eth to jump around 300 - 400$.

It would possibly go up if the price of BTC will rise too. In the past, Ethereum's trend follows the up and down trend of BTC too. The creators of ETH should also fix the issue of hackings cause it is also affecting the marketing of ETH.

Sadly almost all altcoin goes down as the update comes. BUT there is a chance for EtH and LTC during update.

ETH has more greater problem caused by massive number of ICOs, ETH was collected in Vast amounts which now are threats for ETH stability and if this trend continues we will see really good dumps.
Also price increased due to demand for ETH as main payment for ICO's and ETH now looks like pyramidal scheme, I'm not sure why others do not realize this? BTC will just trigger this.

If that so. It's currently July 29 need a few days to go SegWit2x in August 1, there is no sign that altcoin prices will rise. but is decreasing.

Technically the august 1 updates is not going to favour bitcoin  as it has taken the position of sympathy. Ethereum is even afraid of august first issue more than bitcoin itself. In don't think Ethereum has the capacity to get to moon and nothing significant is going to happen at august first. I am holding my coins!

Absolutely! The eth is facing downfall in values at present. I don’t think so they are going to follow bitcoins on their way to sky. Even if they increase in value, soon they will go down drastically within a week. When bitcoins are available, I don’t know why people are going for eths.

ETH is known to move really quickly and in big moves.
I think it is a healthy retreat now and we might see the .12 level soon again.
And possibly 0.2 in the late of 2017
