Hi!

So many cryptocurrencies. Every crypto have its own abbreviation, like BTC or ETH.

When releasing a new cryptocurrency, how decide about its name?

Is it possible to name it GOLD or AWESOME, or maybe just Z?

Despite funny examples it's a serious question. How cryptocurrencies are named? Can I use long "short name"/symbol? What we gonna do when all three-letters will be gone? Can I use two letters? Or one?

Once again, I'm not kidding. Thanks.

I think it is abbreviated by some few letters but it's original name is not  gone..  Like you told,  btc and eth...  I think three letter is good for abbreviated words but if there is two or less, that's awesome... And that's new for me..

It depends on the name of the coin actually. It is a bit awkward if you choose a certain abbreviation that does not in any way relate to your coin name. If you notice, abbreviations seem to sound like the coin names themselves. But some are simply a short version of its name like Strat for Stratis. But having an abbreviation like UPX for a coin like catcoin is something unusual.

Looks very serious It may be my opinion to take the name of the symbol to be shortened or for more details to know it, but many that I see it look the same as other projects ... you have a plan to create a new project?

Yes, I see it. Short name is just some short version of the full name.

But what should I do if I have to release to types of coins (or more), and the project name itself is already an abbreviation Cheesy

Agan: I'm not kidding. I have such situation and I have to make a decision about names and all that stuff. As you can see, it's not that easy!

Look,  SpectivVR is releasing two tokens: Specs and Sigs. The developer team simply decided to name them like that. So which name will tokens have at exchanges? SPCVRSPC and SPCVRSG? Or SVRP and SVRG? Or whatever else?

And if my project already has a good name like SPQR, and I have to release two types of tokens, what going to happen?

SPQR1 and SQPR2? Cheesy Or SPQRZ and SPQRI? It's driving me crazy.

you have a plan to create a new project?
Yes, I have one. A pretty good plan for a pretty good project I really love and believe in.

Use an abbreviation that already give the seller a clue about what to expect. Not sure if SHIT or SCAM coin are already taken though

Yeah,  dude... You know some of the cryptocurrency is abbreviated base on there name and there are abbreviated in an way to symbolize there name like BTC stands for Bitcoin.. . I think atleast three letters is an easy way to know that cryptocurrency easily..
