Messed up at Fairlay - deposited less than the minimum

Well I messed up and did a deposit to Fairlay for less than the minimum 10mBTC.

I deposited 0.00397655 BTC to this address:

17naQiorggx9Ndrp2AxXrX3wJM3XHkQRGZ

It has been confirmed multiple times.

Fairlay states:

"The minimum deposit amount is 5 mBTC. Any value below that will be ignored."

Ignored?

Kept would be a better word. I did not see this until after my deposit was made and didn't show in my balance.

Go post that message or post the link of this thread over to their announcement thread right here so that fairlay's support could see your problem.  It's worth a shot since you have nothing to lose at this point and there's a small chance that they might credit the amount on your account or return it.

By creating a new thread you will not get back your balance. Also, you're on fault side now because if you don't read terms fully then it is not their fault. So if you want a deposit back then you should request them directly by explaining your mistake. They may or may not return your funds but you can try your luck.

I think fairlay will not put their reputation on stake by not giving OP back his bitcoin or atleast ask him to deposit more to make it more than minimum deposit amount. I haven't deposited anything there so don't know where they have this message regarding minimum deposit, anyway your deposits will be ignored if it will be less than 5 mBtc doesn't sound professional.

Hmm, some site have that policy. Not sure if it would apply, but you need to deposit the missing part of the 5mbtc. So deposit 1.1mbtc that would complete the 5mbtc and that would be credited to your account.

In trading sites, when a deposit doesn't meet minimum they have a statement that it will only be credited once the minimum is reach even if it was for multiple deposits. Probably ask their support first if it also applies to them.

I did and it was deleted by the mods.

I sent a ticket to Fairlay yesterday and have not heard back from them.

If depositing a little more would make my initial deposit appear I would try that but I really don't want to make another deposit until I've first heard back from Fairlay.

I'll try again by depositing more than the minimum 5 mBTC - that should get my first deposit credited.

They credited my account with 3.5 mBTC as a one time courtesy.

I'm satisfied with this outcome.

Well that's good it got fixed. Though I hope next time people would learn from this.
And I hope fairly had lower minimum deposit, that is just very limiting as a lot of people will surely want to deposit just small amounts like what OP has done.
