Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Lol oh, thanks bud. I've been up late and really didn't register that I probably haven't been here the "4 hours".

Also, after you reach four hours time on the forum it can take up to 10 minutes for the change to Jr Member to happen.

There is a link to a whitelist request thread in the Newbie Guide. You can always post their to become a Jr Member sooner.

Though by the time they respond you will likely have already became one automatically.

I'm considering posting in the whitelist myself, I should be able to demonstrate BTC knowledge above that of the regular newbie.

yes, said it in an other thread before this politics kind of sucks

you have to spam first for being able to do serious posts, i am lurking around in this forum since a while now, got over 13h online and it several times saw a thread where i wanted to ask or answer but then again... could not because they force one to "spam" here first.

Hey guyz, I have a doctorate from a top school, for realz.  During the time I made this post, my student loans have accrued more interest than my bitcoin miners have profited.

You've either borrowed way too much money at a crap interest rate or are mining with your CPU.

It's interesting that the board doesn't want noobies to post crap posts, but then pretty much forces them to do just that by making them spam a noob ghetto.

Hooray, post 1.

You shouldn't spam - there are many threads in this "noob ghetto" that you can make productive comments on.
