There are online economic games in which you can earn some Satoshi, but to make the game a source of their income you will not succeed. Will have to choose either games or earnings. Bitcoin is not a religion and you don't earn it even if you are going to pray for him.

I thinks it is possible, there are so many projects now that is game-related but having high amount of bitcoin, i think you will not succeed. The popularity impact of bitcoin will be only to gamers and i dont think that's a great idea. Gamers always priority the game, they will not spend time for that, if buying some in-game items i think they were.

I know some games who accept bitcoins as a payments for their items in-game.
I think gaining bitcoin through a game is simply called as a gambling but you still have to invest i guess, because none of the these businesses were really going to give a free cash while you are still enjoying for their hard work projects.

Thankyou for your opinion, yahh maybe its too impossible for gamers to gain huge amount of btc by gaming. by the way, I still hope that someday they will release a MOBA, FPS or RPG/MMORPG Online games that uses bitcoin for their payment and can gain some btc to become successful. I totally agree with that, gamers are gamers, they will priority games but if you are a practical person you might play this kind of game.

The easiest way to buy ingame items I see now is to give it to the game service in exchange for their currency (like adding funds to your steam or blizzard accounts). But you have to trust this service becaue it is not the safest way of using btc. Otherwise transactions may be long and due to volatility the price may change.

I haven't seen any bitcoin game related project so far, but if it's ethereum based then there's some. Like beyond the void (there's ann in this forum if you want to look). For ingame item, i only know steam so far and i don't think there's game where you can earn bitcoin except faucet.

Steam accepts Bitcoin.  You can pay for games with it.  As for in-game items, it obviously depends on how the game works.

There are loads of these already.  Terrible flash games which pay you from the advertisements (basically faucets), and there was a Minecraft server that did a similar thing.

The problem is that Bitcoin is a currency.  People don't give out significant amounts of fiat money for no reason, so why would they do that with BTC?

There are a lot of game related projects using alt coins (there is GameCredits, FirstBlood, and a lot of Ethereum-based gambling tokens), but I don't know if there is already something related to Bitcoin. But of course you could think about selling items in RPG online games using Bitcoin.

and for the OP,
there are only a few game-related project here in bitcoin, because mostly of bitcoin user marketing, economy and lifestyle is their target costumer because it is more practical.
And about the games i think youll not have many bitcoin through playing games but,  if there will be a e-sports event which bitcoin is their price pool you can earn many btc if you win (which i think is not possible for the mean time.)

Yes you can, steam have accepted bitcoin as payment method long time ago. It is like you can make deposit with bitcoin in steam through bitpay. Than you can buy anything on steam including from community market. I have bought several games there with bitcoin and lots of other cs:go skins.

We already have had projects intended for gaming back in the days. Some of them were quite unsuccessful and just discontinued. Today you can buy in-game items from Steam itself. Also, there are other sites out there which accepts btc as a form of payment for in-game cosmetics/premium items. It's up on Steam since 2015.

There is none currently but it can be made. Best developers if comes together then they may find a way to integrate the API with real games which pay us in bitcoin from the blockchain itself. I'm not sure how they might do it but if smart work like blockchain was possible then small game would probably come to existence. I have seen games which are related to mining but they are mostly ponzi and at certain level don't pay you. So basically none at the moment but let's hope someone will create one one day. :-)

There already has been an ico, mobilego they raised $53 millions. but they don't accepted bitcoins directly though, we have to get their token to purchase in-game items, hopefully in future bitcoin will be directly accepted.
