So basically you just want to do 1 on 1 betting? What if the game you guys will bet on will be greatly unmatched? Like team A is the top seed and team B is the lowest seed from all the teams? Will you also be using the odds on sports books? or is it win or lose, winner takes all?

Is there any reason why you don't want to use a bookmaker? You would be able to bet on any match.

Also we can have peace in mind when betting with those bookmaker about security of our fund and we can place bets even during match so that we can lower our possible losses or increase possible profits.

I don't think people will prefer p2p sports betting where they can't get more than 2x in odd.

But they need to pay the escrow fee, and for any reason, the outcome of the game is different from what both members chose then both of them will still lose money because they still need to pay escrow and transaction fees. This method gives better odds but more inconvenient process unless.

That is a good insight you got there. Maybe the solution though for this is that when that happens, it will be considered as draw? Or maybe they just want to bet who wins and who loses. Problem is that is why sports books grades matches. There is a clearly a more dominant team and weaker team that would have lesser probably to win against their opponents.

Yes draw is one of the events if one  player bets on winning while other on losing.They don't need a escrow,they need a bookie who should ready to pay profits from his own pockets at times.
I don't think the skype betting thing would work out.Too many complications without involving a bookie.

I have the same question. By the way, that’s a cool idea to bet this way but the problem is if both loses, who will keep the money. I have a solution for this. In that case, some portion should be given to escrow and rest must be divided equally between two players. In this way, escrow will also take the bet serious.

Escrow can't keep all the funds but he should take all his fees and return to the people. This is the issue with this kind of betting each time need to pay escrow fee and also transaction fee whether you win your bet or lose or no results. This kind of betting will not be lost for long.

Sites like fairlay provides such p2p bettings but they are no social at all. Creating a social website for mutual betting would really be beneficial. The site just works as an escrow (and profit from the fees) where two different people can socialize (to some extent) and bet against each other.

This would really be the case on which you would really burden the escrow fees anytime you do make transactions or match up with other player. Why would really bother to have this kind of p2p bettings since you can able to play on sportsbooks without the hassle of making escrow or making conversations with other bettors? And also they would rather to play on sportsbook than betting on this kind of way,
