I came across this token on ICO alerts, whats your thoughts? Looks like this ICO is running for another 82 days.

Virtual Cash Back Tokens are Coming Soon

VCB tokens can be used for special offers, contests, purchases, or redeemed for cash. Consumers can spend or send VCB anywhere in the world. Launching Q4 2017.

Other unique benefits include:

Earn VCB Every Time You Shop
Receive Bonus Value on Select Brands & Products
Transfer Tokens Anywhere, Anytime
BENEFITS

Eliminate Coupon & Rebate Fraud

Coupon & Rebate fraud in the U.S. exceeds $600 Million annually.
To help eliminate these incremental costs to the system, we use a decentralized, shared ledger called a blockchain that cryptographically secures the integrity of individual coupon/rebate transactions and the privacy of everyone involved – customer, store, and brand/manufacturer – to eliminate fraud.

Other unique benefits include:

Create customized offers that track to individual users
Prevent duplication through built-in DRM protection
Apply bonus values to targeted products to drive incremental value
Eliminate Coupon1
Manage & Localize Budgets

Delivering mobile coupons and rebates built on Blockchain technology to local markets and retailers gives brands control of their budgets with offers that they can control in real-time and through pre-set time parameters.

Other unique benefits include:
Cap delivery and time out offers to effectively manage budgets
Deploy bonus values triggered by consumer action, on targeted products, to drive incremental value
Flexibility allows you to deliver your highly targeted offers to specific markets, retailers and demographics
Manage & Localize Budgets
Capture the 27M Unbanked U.S. Consumers

This group makes little or no use of formal financial institutions. They represent nearly $1 Trillion in purchasing power annually. Secure and private value exchange using blockchain technology will serve this largely neglected and highly valuable consumer.

Deliver incentives and rewards to consumers with one consistent form of value across all brand activities worldwide.
Customers redeem for specific products and services.
Value can be exchanged securely across borders without excessive charges and security issues.

It is suspicious that a project not yet introduced in the forum is brought here by a newbie. I would like to ask wankle why it was so interesting. Are you somehow related to the project? I find it doubtful.

Hey all,

CausePlay is new to the nuances of the communication protocols... Meaning, we use Twitter and our website mainly.  For the past few years we've been a B-B play and have little reason to market to consumers and the public.

Our clients include Kroger, Smart & Final, Unilever, Coca Cola, Nestle, and about 30 other CPG companies.  We've been delivering campaigns to help disrupt the loyalty grocery model.

Coupons and Rebates are a massive marketing tactic for brands with a ton of flaws.  We've spent the past few years trying to figure out how to remove fraud, control shopper marketer's budgets, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY create programs for the Unbanked to participate in traditional grocery tactics.

Then, the Eth blockchain showed up with smart contracts and we knew we had something.  By layering coupons and rebates on the blockchain we answer the following:

-  Stop the 600MM coupon/rebate fraud in the US
-  Control shopper marketer's budgets
-  Enable the 27MM US unbanked consumers (2B worldwide) to participate in rebate programs which opens up a new financial model

We are launching our tokens in a private test with Kroger in October and doing a public launch in Nov.

Here's our White Paper
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ebo5dnahrechhmp/VCB%20White%20Paper%20public%202%20PDF.pdf?dl=0

We are an existing business, so this isn't just an "idea".

Apologize for the delay, we are new to bitcointalk and for whatever reason we didn't receive notifications.

we power the grocery store apps and apply a loyalty program for brands..- worldwide

unbanked can move value - ie.  Los Angeles shopper earns 20 VCB in Unilever product and sends the value to Mexico to purchase Unilever product - Free of charge to user.

moving value instead of money -  often times money is moved via western union or something and the fees are huge.. also, the patriarch often misuses the funds, so in this model the tokens would be designated.

I will send a more detailed use case and explain how we are nothing like the other companies mentioned.. They are good concepts, but totally different products.

iwtoken, TenX, etc..  These are wallets allowing you to use your cypto while riding the Visa or merchant rails..

VCB Tokens have nothing to do with this.

VCB tokens are "mined" by shopping for brands at grocery.  The tokens are offered as a rebate alternative to cash - mainly, because unbanked consumers can't participate in these rebates (no paypal, no bank) - EXAMPLE

Alice is an established user of a Grocery app that uses VCBs a part of their loyalty model. While shopping at Food4Less today in Los Angeles she receives a digital notification: with a qualifying purchase of a Unilever product Alice can elect to receive a rebate of either 1 U.S. dollar (e.g. paid into a PayPal account) or the VCB token equivalent of 2 US dollars (at current VCB/USD exchange rates, paid into the Unilever sub-wallet in hermobile app). It’s important to note that as long as the VCB remains within the  ecosystem, the VCB tokens are known to have originated from a Unilever rebate program because they are stored in a Unilever subwallet within the app.
If Alice choses to accept payment in VCB, a number of potential future behavior paths are unlocked. She could:
•   Hold the VCB in her mobile wallet against future promotions offered by Unilever in exchange for Unilever VCB tokens.
•   Sell the VCB on an appropriate exchange for USD, though we consider this as ‘advanced’ behavior that will only emerge on large scales as and when crypto-tokens enter mainstream understanding and acceptance.
•   Transmit the VCB to a friend or family member who has another VCB wallet app for redemption or exchange.

Example Brand Use Case
Unilever brand managers are aware that there are now approximately ten thousand customers in the US who are holding more than 200 ‘Unilever’ VCB tokens in their wallets. They decide to offer these loyal customers a hot deal on an overstocked item, which moves product off the shelves and recovers VCB tokens for redistribution via future promotional campaigns.
These two use cases merely scratch the surface of what is possible when every token and transaction can be tracked in real-time on an ongoing basis. For the first-time brands can establish and maintain an ongoing, one-to-one relationship with consumers of their products.

The white paper goes over everything else.  Frankly, our pre token sale is going slow.  Rebates and Coupons are a growing industry around the world, but historically have not have an impact.  China, for example, never needed coupons and rebates in gov owned stores, so the consumer adoption never exist.  In the US, that's a different story.  We're having to educate, globally, the model.

The Brands get it and that's why our brand partners are all in.  For example, we own rebates.eth - and cashback.eth - we can now apply these to programs where the chain can control, manage and simplify rebates and cash back programs for consumers.  dove.cashback.eth or budweiser.rebates.eth are now fraud proof, budget protected and unbanked adopted wallets for grocery chains and brands.

I hope this helps
