1060's tdp is 120W. I would say you would be safe if you have 1600W or more since you probably will limit the power draw to 80% anyway.

Do check if 12 nvidia gpu can be run on one board. for PSU I recommend 1600W P2 or T2 from Evga

I am not sure 1600 will be enough for that gpus. you should check the electric consumption per gpu manually ater overclocking and multiply it by 12. I usually use 750W Gold Series per 4 gpu just to be safe.

on windows up to 8 gpus is the current limit I understand - for your psu buy the t2 if you find one, but note you always need a 15% to 20% overhead.

i think you have few choose only, lepa 1700 or superflow 2000 watt, and also the corsair 1500watt, but for just 8 1060, a 1000 can do it, they don't consume much, if you are gong to use 1070 int he future, it's better to have a 1500watt

I cannot recommend them. They took over 1 month to ship my PSU and cables to me. I did, however, get the 2400w Deltas and they are tanks. If you can source them from other locations, I would say go that route.

They went out of stock months ago on all their products and just recently have been in stock 100%. They made customers aware of delays. in stock now and wouldn't worry about delays at this point, I love every single 1200w HP DPS psu they've sent me. They've got decent customer support as well.

Two corsair rmx 1000w will be enought for sure. With only one power suply will be very hard to have enought cables for all that cards, not imposible but very hard to find especialy now when is hard to find any good quality power suply. I also plan to make one rig with maybe even 13x 1060 but am little frustrated with new card euiped with hyunix memory and max speed about 18m in eth

Hey man. You said you arena after a 2 psu stup. So for 12 gpus i would recommend 2x evga gq 1000watt. Each havet 10x 8 pins (6+2). Easy setup for you with mostly 6 pin risers.

Why not three PSU? Since you already have 860 and 750, I would add another 750 or 860 and get a better night sleep knowing that you have plenty of headroom and better PSU efficiency. You can sync them all using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K8F6GZ-SCSI

It's very simple to use them all together, you simply need to short the green pin to any black pin in the ATX connector and the PSU will be on and providing power. Here is a very simple guide: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-power-up-an-ATX-Power-Supply-without-a-PC/It even shows using a switch, but I just prefer using the power switch on the back of the PSU. I have been doing this since 2014 with no issues ever.

Hands down this would by my recommendation too. A server PSU with breakout boards is the way to go. Get the 2400w model and you'll have room for growth even. The catch is you'll also need PCI 6-pin powered risers instead of the typical sata/molex versions. This would let you downsize your mobo PSU too, since ALL card power comes from the server supply. My favorite perk of these supplies is cable length, with multiple GPUs placement becomes much easier.
