There is nothing stopping BTC onward to its path to glory not even a hard fork which brings out BCC. BTC will continue to rise after a first few bumpy weeks in the beginning of August.

On the other hand, BCC which will be the so called 'problem-fixed' version of BTC will have value determined by the takers who accept BCC like major exchanges and traders around the world.

I fully agree with both of you. I think we have a clearer picture of what can transpire in the feared August 1. Though there will be a new coin called BitcoinCash, it might have any effect on Bitcoin because the thing has already been discussed by so many of us and the market got tired listening to them.

Bitcoin is fortunately back to the $2,800 level. I assumed that it can go lower than $2,500 but Bitcoin defied the market direction. Hopefully after August 1, we would be treated by a growing and stronger Bitcoin ready for its beautiful future.

I also got few bcc credited to my bittrex account recently and just waiting to dump all those when they will enable Bcc trading but don't know when they will do so.

I am expecting price of bcc to be $100 and btc to >$3k within next few days when all those free bcc will hit market.

Indeed there is and there was no need of getting panicked about this situation. Even Theymos in his time to time updates recalled that BIP91 is going to be locked and hard fork is not gonna happen as it would have been aggressively the other time.

Now we are here on 1st August, and this is just another ordinary day where bitcoin is working as usual and most of us are enjoying the bitcoin growth. I'm sure with this fork bitcoin will now get more attention by those people who never trusted it or who were not in the crypto world. Ultimately that's gonna rise the price of bitcoin. But nobody have done it till now except few platforms who have just enabled internal BCC trading and still not accepting new deposits and withdrawals in BCC and I think the one who have announced support for BCC might pull out their support after looking at how forked chain is performing.

BCC is a complete joke. I think devs wanted to change the world with invention of BCC but now they see it as bitcoin is holding unimaginable support from the community. Yeah it's really true that bcc will have no value in few weeks of time. Once everyone gets 15% of bcc they will dump it immediately for quick bucks. Devs gonna be in complete loss of development and hopefully they will learn btc can't be broken easily. No splits again ever.

I must say there is actually no competition as bitcoin has the majority support and just after the fork was done bitcoin reached $2900. Yeah I'm not sure if most people even have access to their BCH to sell.  I don't.

Current price is at $430 which is pretty impressive given all the speculation that it would instantly die.  #3 in market cap, behind Ethereum.

Yeah I was sure about this and I did not panic at all. I already replied in many other threads supporting others that it's not panic situation but an opportunity for our bitcoin who will rise in the market by gaining more attention against BCC/BCH.  I'm also sure about bcc getting dumped as soon as it become available on exchanger. Hopefully same should happen and it should get out if the market as early as possible. It will surely.

Well, it's happen like as you said now but what i'm sure is the price for Bitcoin Cash will never same as Bitcoin price. Actually the priceo for Bitcoin Cash is increase a bit high today and maybe bitcoin cash can increase again, who knows. I think Bitcoin Cash will be like another altcoin though.
