No one knows what's really going to come out of Bitcoin Cash, they're only going to see on Aug 1st and a little beyond that time to see if they're really going to be fixing the problem that Bitcoin has faced for the longest time -- congested network with bloated fees that is unable to handle the tasks that it was deemed to do. So anyone on here, like you or me can come out and say that a consensus is going to fix this or that, but the only thing that is going to confirm this is going to be what happens when it is used in practice.

Everything looks nice on paper, but once it's put into play is when the real problems come out. TIME will only tell with this one.

Then why not use XEM to pay your beer?
Or LTC? Or any of the other 800 currencies?

Maybe its because, oh yeah... companies that accept crypto mainly accept BTC, because it has the biggest community that supports an awesome group of developers (Core).

It's good we get Bitcoin Cash, we can show the entire community how unneeded that shitcoin is.

As of now, every user is in a dilemma and unsure about the future growth of bitcoin. Everything will be known only after the days of August based on the splitting we'll be experiencing different growth strategies. The blocksize issue might solve an issue, at the same it serves as an initial point for aome other issue. To have a balanced network without flaws is good for growth.

I think you have to learn more about segwit2x, it is actually a long term solution or better to say way to instant bitcoin transactions with lightening network in future. Segwit is first step to LN, after LN we will be able to make instant off chain bitcoin transactions. When we will have LN there will be no any issue regarding block size and high fees involved with it.

I don't think there's a single merchant in the world that is accepts Bitcoin Cash. In fact, I seriously doubt that any of them is going to accept it, and if they will, they will immediately dump for more BTC so I wouldn't even bother.

BCC will be heavily centralized so transaction under a network that's controlled by the same actor (Bitmain) it's not a safe practice. Use something else to buy beers with.

Maybe bitcoin will not be no 1 if its slow development in because many countries have not legalized bitcoin but if big negara2 legalize bitcoin then bitcoin will be keep no 1 in because many users

What slow development? Bitcoin is trying to get Segwit activated and this is a good development. And kindly speak English please so we will understand what you are trying to say here.

I don't think the BCC will gain prominence in the market. Bitcoin has totally dominated the market and will dominate it for a long time. No BCC is not possible to buy things because their is no merchant that will accept it simply as that.

Segwit (Segregated witness) is proposal to increase the block size and network to make transaction much faster. I don't know what's the things we need to learn more about Segwit.
I hope we do not need the discussion about BCC. If it is been implemented on August 1st then we need to worry about it.

Bitcoin cash is just an altcoin, and while the future is uncertain one thing we know for sure, you will not be able to do much with it at the beginning because merchants at the moment accept bitcoin and only bitcoin, so bitcoin cash will need to gain market share there, something that is difficult with bitcoin being so dominant.

I don't think BCC will even get a chance. I believe the moment it sets ground on public domain the coin will tank because of all the people exchanging it for BTC/LTC/ETH to make a quick buck while it remains relatively high.

100% correct. They are all there for the airdrop and for the sake of 'who knows'.

But everybody with a few brains knows this has nothing to do with Satoshi, and everything to do with Bitmain/Jihan/RogerVer greed.

Thank god community invented UASF.

i think only few people will fall for this trap, if we remember history specifically in america, there cam a time were in they spilt their money, the so called "southerners" made their own and in the long run, it was never used(i hope i still know their history, i'm not american btw). this split could just be temporary and in the long run bitcoin will still be the victor.

Exactly. The ruler of Crypto-Currency world is Bitcoin and it will continue being for a long time yet, any other currency will be considered an AltCoin. You may say: "but it's different from AltCoins, it came from a Bitcoin fork...". If we think a little about it we can discover every AltCoin came from Bitcoin at some point, that was the first of all Crypto-Currencies. We have the original and the clones.

I'm not going to buy a beer, as I don't drink anymore, but I am interested to see about this BCC thing and how it'll play out in real life.

I'm safe with the Mycelium wallet, right?  That's what I read, but I still don't quite know what to expect as far as getting BCC.  I don't plan on really holding any, so if it never appears in my wallet, I'll be cool with that.  What's the significance of beer here anyway?  I don't think anybody is going to accept BCC for goods & services anyhow.  They don't even accept doge or Dash, fer cryin' out loud.

I believe the same and want the same, I do not want to have to explain to my friends and my family why there are two coins calling themselves bitcoin, but we are not going to know the answer to our questions and doubts until the next days or weeks pass by.

No there are better coins for that, for example Ethereum. No need for Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin <insert random name here>.

I know some people will try to create a Bitcoin Beer to pay for beer. But no no. It's not needed.
