Video and description goes over the trio build created by Phil here on bitcointalk, these rigs rock and use as few parts as possible. Many users have built these rigs as their first rigs with no issues on startup due to the awesome design, information here on BTCtalk, and the incredible nvOC software by fullzero. Hope this helps!

I appreciate the effort that goes into making these DIY videos, but something that bothers me is just HOW MANYvideos seem to be the defacto education standard these days.  They've definitely been helpful for me at times, more so for auto repairs than mining.

What I dislike so much though is that it's becoming increasingly difficult to find any decent written instructions or walk-throughs more and more.  Often skimming a written procedure to find just the one thing you may need help with is CONSIDERABLY faster and easier than trying to find the right video and then jumping around in it to try to figure out the thing you need.

Is this trend mainly driven by the potential profit people can make off of videos and youtube?  For what it's worth at least STEEM seems to be fostering a decent "substantive post" culture for miners, but they're not as expansive or deep as needed most of the time.  I suppose I'm posting this as both a "thanks" a "rant" and an ask that those who want to contribute instructions could do well by also typing them out if they want to make a video for it.
