I added one of my 1.5MH miners to this pool and it doesnt seem to register any of my shares... a bug?

Excellent! new pools is great. Charge whatever you like on fees, if your service is worth it then people will pay them. All pools are not equal. If people want no fees then there are free pools out there already.
