I sent 0.0602317 BTC to Bittrex a few hours ago and noticed that i only recieved 0.04985215 BTC in my Bittrex wallet. I know that there's transaction fees associated with BTC transfers but this just seemed like to big of a fee...

To see what was going on, I went into the details of the transaction and noticed that there were two output addresses for some reason. One was the address i put in (i.e. my Bittrex address) and there other was an address i have never seen. You can see in the below like that theres clearly two address that the coins have been sent to where 0.01BTC has just disappeared. I read a few posts regarding this and some people mentioned that the 0.01 BTC should just appear in my Electrum wallet once the transaction has been completed (which it has already) but I still cant see those 0.01BTC anywhere. From a few old posts i know that this has something to do with "change" and how BTC is transferred, but my question is, where is my 0.01BTC and how can i get it back?

You probably used TrustedCoin 2FA system. The 2FA setup isn't free, it does incur a fee(0.01 per 1000 transaction IIRC or 0.0005BTC per transaction).

You cannot get the 0.01BTC back. If you don't want to pay anymore, use the remaining 999 transactions and move your coins out.

So is there a way to turn this off or should i just change wallets (after using the remaining 999 transactions obviously haha)?

Thanks for the prompt reply btw

You can restore from seed... make sure you restore a "2FA" ("File -> New/Restore -> Wallet with two-factor authentication -> I already have a seed")... It will ask if you want to "Keep" or "Discard" the 2FA features... If you select "Discard", it will restore your wallet with 2 of the 3 private keys on your PC, so it is effectively no longer a 2FA wallet.

Alternatively, you can just setup a new wallet with a new seed and move your coins across. Personally, I'd recommend setting up a new "standard" wallet and moving the coins to help minimise the chances of any issues later on.

to confirm whether you have a 2fa wallet or not just look at your electrum window title. it should say "2fa" or "2 factor authentication" there.
