not 0.8.2 index error

Sorry about putting this bug report here but I don't want to create yet another account.

The first time I ran it is started rapidly decreasing the number of weeks left.  I left the computer running when it was a year out of date.  The second time I started it up, it gave me the following error:

I am using Linux/32
I get the following error:

Using ls I get:

-----------------------------------

I am using ext3 (journaled filesystem).  Now the file size is just under the maximum size of a 32-bit integer. 
Is there a way to recover this?

What version are you running? Only old and ~no longer supported versions using a blkindex.dat.

Your numbers are a bit off.  You are ~ 500 MB, not ~ 4 GB.

Most likely, you didn't shut down cleanly and your databases got broken.
