Wait I literally answered this a few threads ago. Do search for it.

Blockchain.info does give their users access to their private key but not with complete control. They can potentially still transfer out the coins on the other fork if they wanted to, just by changing their UI. It's not exactly easy to detect so yeah.

That being said, even without the fork, I really wouldn't recommend anyone to continue using Blockchain.info given their long history of unreliability. Please do send your coins to another wallet like Electrum.

It's something you could in theory use to cash out BCC but has little to no trustless security measures in practice. As others are pointing out, blockchain.info is not the best alternative. I think that creating an address offline with Bitcoin Core, keeping the private key to potentially import in other wallets is the best solution.

Like them above saying it's not good, I've been seeing complaints about blockchain.info these past few days. I'd prefer using a desktop wallet (Electrum, Bitcoin Core, etc.) rather than Blockchain.info.

It was asked yesterday too: Is blockchain.info safe to keep bitcoin on Aug.1?
You might be interested to read opinions here as well: [Alert] Move Your Coins From Blockchain.info ASAP!

Just to add, theymos suggested OK Wallets here (Mobile, Desktop, Hardware, Web) : [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc.

The first time I knew bitcoin and wallet was blockchain.info, and I've been using for more than 2 years and everything went well, even when I over 8 months did not open blockchain.info the balance did not decrease even though only 1 satoshi.

It means you secured your account so no one can have it.

People keep asking about this and there are too many answers already just do search on it. Anyways if you have some PC much better to transfer it to desktop wallet, electrum is recommemded.

Blockchain would be safe if we are not on this August 1 drama and as being said above you do have the private keys but you don't have actually the full control because they can easily changes the UI which means its not totally safe at all. If you are really concern on your bitcoin then electrum would be a good alternative and its very fast to download without the need on downloading bitcoin core and the entire blockchain.

Maybe just to play it safe i would say move it but from their blog they say our funds will be safe the most important thing to have incase of anything is the wallet recovery phrase.

Better to move it to bittrex exchange or electrum wallet
both seems to be safest option as of now

Move it to bittrex if you want to be few of the first bcc holders who can sell their BCC at high price. You can also store your bitcoin in paper wallet and later import that private key to any bcc supporting wallet like electroncash later on (electrum clone).

It definitely good and safe but no one is sure if they support the BCC or allow you to have your bitcoins converted to BCC.Don't fret, you can always access your private keys and export them into another wallet that allows BCC.Keep your coins from an online exchange just to be on a safer side.

It's not advisable to store coins on an third party exchange until the things are stable on the network.
