Buy the rumor, sell the news. I would predict that it will go down. Could be wrong though, I didn't think it was gonna bounce back above ~$2500 after the latest decline. Bitcoin buying has gone too crazy though imo, it needs to come back down to earth.

It is confirmed that BCC is already dead before the fork happened tomorrow. Investors are now wised by not panicking anymore to split issue. BCC supporter is very small, Miners that will support BCC will gonna suffer grave loss.

Jihan has enough spare mining gear that will be allocated to keeping BCC fully operational.

If they on top of that have enough financial resources to facilitate a decent rally, which they without a doubt have available, then other miners and short term gamblers will jump on board, that's how it works.

Even if turns out that it is only offering miners short term profit opportunities they will not let it slip. We're operating in an industry that gets dictated mainly by greed, so don't be surprised if things don't go as you think right now.

I'm positive that most of us in the forum thinks that bitcoin price will increase in the future. Of course we will see some dip after Aug 1 but bitcoin will recover and we may see a good ATH a few months after the split. BCC will be a threat, it may or may not die after Aug 1. But the threat will be minimal I guess because people still have a faith in bitcoin that's for sure.

Buy bitcoins while its cheap, for sure after a year it will take you to the moon.
As the event will happen tomorrow it will make some effect on bitcoins price  maybe it will drive the price to go down slightly.

Bitcoin can be buy any time because it is like assest for anyone. Price will be move to skyrocket everytime what we are expecting. Therefore, it is possible to do anytime. If he wish to invest on bitcoin. Simply buy and hold it. Else he can invest on mining or can create a new ICO and make the populous to get the profit in future.

We can expect prices to reach $5000 levels before end of this August. I am expecting segwit will react similar to halving. Yes, it will help bitcoin ecosystem to boost up. When some enhancement will be happening within bitcoin system, it might attract new investors and adopters and also vast media coverage.

So, we can expect this august 1 thing will take us into $10k levels before end of this year.

Not much is gonna happen tomorrow. I expect price action a 2-3 days later when everybody realises and sees that Bcash is no threat and won't have any significance effect on Bitcoin. Then I believe we could take off, probably 4-5k, maybe more, within the next 6-8 weeks or so.

Bitcoin Cash might be driving up BTC's price, not holding it back. 
It could decisively end the scaling debate, one way or the other.

Probably but probably for not that much. I was expecting that drop to happen a few days before the 1st August because of a possible panic dump but as we can see, the price is at around $2700.

Bitcoin Cash will fall to sub $50, everyone knows its "free coins" and is practically worthless.
Bitcoin will pump temporarily to $3000, then fall back down as people sell the news.
As hype dies down, most people will flood to the next big volume coin that actually has catalysts and is far from its ATH, that would be ETH.
By August 5th, BCC will be worthless, BTC will be $2500, and ETH will be $300+

TLDR: Buy Ethereum.

On 1st august bitcoin blockchain will be splited into two separate chain, one will remain as BTC (supported by bitcoin core developer team) while a small group of miner and developer will support bitcoincash (with larger block size).

If you have bitcoin right now than you will get same amount of Bitcoincash after the split which you can spend with any bcc compatible wallets.

Price of btc and bcc might affect each other when both of them will be traded freely after mid-day tomorrow.

More people hope and waiting dip price, the market and whales will make the price of Bitcoin increasing fast. Then when most trader hope Bitcoin go to the moon, they will drop all and make you cut loss

August 1 is near it takes only few hours we can know what will happen in the bitcoin if the coin will increase or not. But for sure if the bitcoin decrease today it will increase again after few days or weeks. So its better to invest your money in bitcoin if you want to earn a lot pf profit and be panic right know. Just relax everything will be okay and I think the price of bitcoin after couple of days increase more than the current price.

August 1st will take us to continuation  of volatility of price of Bitcoin 'till November and possible fork.. but volatility with average growth in price of some 10 % in this period.. mostly already in August.

Mining bitcoin? No, I will not suggest that to him, it's not profitable anymore for just a new comer and it will cost him as hardware are expensive while the difficulty is getting harder. It's not going to be a good choice for him. Creating a new ICO? Adding another useless coin in the circulation? No please don't add another coin.

Quite to see bitcoin at $2900 now. Wow. I thought that the price would plummet but that is not the case. So for me the future looks really bright for bitcoin. It will take us for a good ride maybe reaching $5000 before the end of the year. Tomorrow we will just look back at the shoulders and just laugh at those people saying that bitcoin will die on Aug 1. LoL.

The problem is this all seems crazy when you've seen growth from few hundred BTC for $, $0.10-1, $100+, $1k+ it starts to get dizzying but I don't expect much sub 2k BTC anymore... It's crazy how I don't think much between a 2k BTC and a 3K BTC, I expect we'll be saying the same thing about a 10K BTC and a 100K BTC I just hope to god I don’t lose the rest of my stash trying to trade madness
