Is this normal?  I'm waiting on a confirmation of a transaction and realized that almost an hour later, it only has one confirmation.  Upon further inspection of the blockchain, i found there has been no mined blocks in the last hour!!!  This surely isn't normal is it?

so everyone is updating right now and therefore mining speed is temporarily slowed?  Glad I'm just transferring to an exchange and not say, trying to buy a pizza or anything. I'd be very hungry by now...

It is not unusual to have 60 minutes or even 90 minutes between blocks once in a while.

However, the timing of this particular delay is interesting.  Perhaps enough miners didn't upgrade that the blockchain has forked.  Maybe there isn't enough hash power in the 0.8.x fork to have blocks every 10 minutes until the next adjustment (or until more miners switch).

I installed my current GUIMiner client about 2-3 months ago and mine on BTCGuild.  Do I need to do anything?  I figured BTCGuild would have emailed me or something if i needed to upgrade...
