Bitcoin Value Going Up?

Is anyone else surprised by this? I expected it to go down with all the negative hype surrounding tomorrow. Do you think it has to do with the Segwit agreement or maybe BTC-e refunding it customers (which is amazing by the way).

OR! Does anyone still predict the apocalypse tomorrow? Regardless, I will be holding on to my BTC until the price is much much higher but I'm interested in seeing what the community thinks.

For what i observed , there are no currently problems with crypto currency can occur. And for now it doesn't affect the bitcoin since the issue last month is done and we can have a fresh start today and maybe in the future, the Bitcoin price will reach 3000$

Those threats is really non sense and despite of what negative effects may happen, people were more braver compared from previous years speculations. The expected fall down has nothing to do with the bitcoin price value to be pulled out by some investors who feared a lot, but they've became more clever on their decisions and even me I don't have fear, yet don't withdraw my bitcoin. After the day of August 1 my balance is very intact and nothing has gone wrong, so everything was a mythical rumors coming from non sense people.

There was nothing written of Bitcoin value going up or down upon activation though BTC has always been fluctuating and it was normal. I was not expecting it to increase but some said it will decrease after the split, hopefully after the split this day bitcoins value will increase and reach a new ath by this month.

Bitcoin even has a stable price at the moment, so I think forking does not really affect the bitcoin price. Bitcoin prices back again before an increase in the last 12 hours before the split. This is very encouraging, in addition BCH prices also increased quite high after the opening of the market. Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash are completely different.

Since it's August 1, what happened in the month of July is kinda frustrated since there's a lot of people panicked and decided to withdraw their bitcoins but then the Segwit issue has been resolved and completed so we can definitely see the outcome of it. We are all surprised about the value of bitcoin because it increased.

There was no reason it wouldn't continue to go up. There was reason it could have got slightly down the day before August 1st. It didn't seem to do so if it did there was no differentiating that between normal normal price changes, and I don't even think there were any of those. The price of Bitcoin is consistently continue to go up and there's no reason that should change now.

The only difference would be that some people may put a little bit of their money into that cash coin, and I don't think you're going to see anything actually coming out of Bitcoin for that rather than just going to treat it like a new altcoin. Even when people sell Bitocin cash with bitcoin,  the price of bitcoin will rise further as more bitcoin being bought.

Don't be fooled with current price ($2700) of bitcoin, it's a small amount compare to what we could achieve in the future.
We know that bitcoin price most likely to grow over time and has been proven all this years since 2009 from nothing to over $3000.

Litecoin didn't really need SegWit, it only served as test base for Bitcoin. Bitcoin on the other hand is in severe need of SegWit to grow further. From there it's quite easy to assume that when you take out the scaling obstacle, Bitcoin will grow to unseen levels before the block halving kicks in. Include that more countries will end up legalizing Bitcoin, which will bring institutional investors closer than ever to Bitcoin, and we're in for a few interesting years.

This, for me, is the most interesting part of having Bitcoin legalized. As soon as institutions enter the game, and allocate a serious percentage of their portfolio to Bitcoin, we can say goodbye to sub $10,000 levels.

That's why, aside for trading purposes, and maybe emergency cases, I don't see any point into people cashing out their coins for fiat ~ it just doesn't make sense.

The potential short term gains that people here are mostly after, won't come even close to the eventual gains they will be making by just hodling. It only requires patience, and that's really it.

yes that is right that in present time bitcoin has a very stable price and but in future we can see some good increase in the price of bitcoin, i am sure that bitcoin price will start increasing very soon and therefore i am holding my bitcoins.

It seems that the confidence of people in bitcoin has reached a point in which is a lot more difficult to shake than in the past, people are happy despite all the things that happened so I think it is fair to assume the price is going to stay the way it is and no much more movement is going to happen in the next days.

It seems that the confidence of people in bitcoin has reached a point in which is a lot more difficult to shake than in the past, people are happy despite all the things that happened so I think it is fair to assume the price is going to stay the way it is and no much more movement is going to happen in the next days.

On my opinion we had no reasons to worries about bitcoin price, we are confident to bitcoin value because they fully trust them. I also hoping that bitcoin was continue to increase value in the future.

Well because of the strong support given by the community that really helps about the increasing price that we experience. And of course there's no split that happened.
Right now bitcoin community has very overwhelm about this and happy that they didnt sold their coins while many are trolling about segwit. So now lets wait for bitcoin to increase more and go to the moon.

I think that bitcoin's value will go up also. Because bitcoin is complex and not stagnant. It accepts change for example the fork or the split right? It will go up, and I think after many years of just months. It could be higher than our expectations. So I am telling you to stop believing in FUDS and start hodling Bitcoin. It will go up, SOON. Who cares i mean who cares as you talked about bitcoin price. Everyone know that it is increasing it is enhancing so would anyone care that you talking about worries. If somebody worry then they are the one who are flops always because bitcoin is the right place to invest and to trade to gain a lot of amount of money means extra profit.

I think threat of 1st August has no any value now because people have seen the consequences of speculations and I observe that all miss convincing ideas has been died with 1st August and now the time is to growing up of bitcoin price. I predict the price of bitcoin at the end of August $500, because people are believing now much than the previous and eagerly investing in bitcoin.
