Coinmarketcap Question

Hey all.  I check on coinmarketcap to check altcoins and their pricing and history etc.  I had bitcoin but never looked into these altcoins until recently.  I was surprised that coins like ETH, Litecoin and all those other coins.... earlier this year these coins were so cheap compared to now.  Its like if you bought any coin in the top 20 besides a few, you would have profited a lot.  I have few questions i like to ask about this site.


Since people mention marketcap as oppose to price is what should be looked at... can someone tell me where was Waves on the list at the beginning of the year?  For example it was around 25 cents only.  However, where was it ranked in marketshare?  Right now its number 16.  But back then, does anyone know what number was it ranked?  I ask this because even though i didn't look at altcoins until recently and also bought altcoins... litecoin and waves... i want to know this because i know if waves was say number 50 or 100... i probably would not even have noticed it.  Because i have looked through the list like top 100 on coinmarketcap... and most of the coin names are just foolish names and i could tell its junk.  However, where was waves in this?  When did it start going in the top 50 etc?  Also does anyone know where ETH and litecoin was earlier as well?  Which coin was the top 5 coins on coinmarketcap in terms of market cap?


Because i cannot believe i could have gotten litecoin and waves for the price earlier on as that would just be ridiculous.  I got litecoin at one of the highest prices and waves at a reasonable price.

Because in March until May, the crypto market have many change, special after big profit from altcoin Ripple, some people buying it and holding just one month, they have profit x15 from @400 sat per coin to @7500 sat per coin. Then, the market have hot trend investing to altcoin cheap price, and making many investor from anywhere are interested crypto market. And the result after all happens is all crypto on market increasing

In my opinion, top 5 altcoin after Bitcoin always LTC, ETH, ZEC, DASH and XMR, because they have a huge communitity and the age of them long than other altcoin top 5 on market in current.
