Why everyone are nervous? Because we don't know what will happen after 1st August, how everything will affect bitcoin price. Non tech guys like I'm have limited knowledge about fork.
Lot of people still don't know what will happen to their bitcoins and how to keep it safe.
And all FUD around us makes situation even worse.
This is exactly why people are worried, we do not have a way to know with certainty what it is going to happen and the markets hate uncertainty, what we need is stability not the possibility bitcoin forks and we get two bitcoins, if there is already confusion for the average person when it comes to crypto, can you imagine how much confusion they are going to get when they see two different coins claiming to be the original?

Yes, if we don't know what will be happen after august 1 I'm sure that you are nervous ( me too). Especially the user of bitcoin that save allot for their future, others are panicking on the news, they sell their bitcoin to make sure that they have income.

If your prediction will happen its a big problem, maybe the one kind of currency are not compatible to the other one, or maybe the bitcoin you save will lost, or maybe in in transaction it gives a problem which will lost or no receiving will happen.

It seemd FUD about the August update had calmed down.  With the majority support the possible lockdown to Bip 91 is about to happen.  This is bullish Bitcoin, and we had seen its effect.  nervousness escalates but not for the segwit 2x but rather for FOMO.  Those who hold their BTC are lucky since bitcoin had been increasing today.

BIG WINNER!

Maybe some bitcoin investors buy a lot of bitcoin after the dump that happened this week because we can see the price pumps back to 2s after it reach the 1s in the previous days.
Also, people thought that these dump will keep up, there are some users that sold their bitcoin and sold another alt currencies but nobody predicted that the price dump will just take a while.

The future of bitcoin is great and will be much better without shadow characters like Jihan, Roger Ver, Garzik, Gavin, Wright.

Jihan:  Has done more for putting ASICS in the hands of individual miners than anyone else
Roger: Invested in Bitcoin companies before everyone else, when everyone thought Bitcoin was a tulip Ponzi
Garzik: Wrote bitcoin libraries as a core developer years ago. Worked on sw2x at the request of the community
Gavin: The person Satoshi entrusted Bitcoin with.  Lead developer in the early years.
Wright: Possibly part of SN, very smart man writing great papers to help us scale bitcoin without nonsense second layers and seg-crap

"Shadow Characters".  You're funny.

I suppose in your mind Blockstream is a bunch of great guys that wouldn't dare put their patented sidechains or
their venture capital bosses ahead of the users, right?

Very classical, they started a huge FUD to make holders sell their bitcoin for cheap prices, and then they collected all. After they had the coins, they started to pump it to seel us in high price. Very easy but tricky.

People are typically afraid of what they don't know or understand, don't blame us too much. Wish someone had helped clarify the Segwitx2 thing. False info shouldnt have been tolerated(if there were any).
It was really a tensed period.

I don’t think so that anything will go wrong. But I agree, one should always be prepared for worst. Most probably prices will hype but in case, they dump; one should hang onto bitcoins. The fall in crypto market is never permanent. Every fall results in rise of values at the end of day.

Well, it serves the panic sellers right, they decided to sell upon several threads in this forum advising them otherwise so for me there's no n Ed even talking about them they've learnt it the hard way and if they are fortunate to hold bitcoin again, they will know how to handle it henceforth.
