I think it has higher price simply due to its distribution model (hard fork). Its tech is pretty rudimental if you compare it with many other altcoins.
I guess to compare by technology is one approach. But in general I am missing in this discussion about the use case. There are many alt coins out, which are not positioning themself as a coin with a high transaction rate. This is just another feature to compare. But some are simply different in it own and are solving other use cases than just of a "currency" transaction. I hope we will see much more in future on real use cases, to make the crypto market more stable than just based on speculation.
