Guys. I think now, we need to work on building an android wallet app for gldcoin.
That sounds great. And let's get the wallet syncing issues resolved. If I can help, tell me how. I think that problem will be improved if not fixed once we hit block 21000 as the difficulty will reset then which I think will help it. Were currently at block 28838, and at our current rate it should be another week, however, the best way to speed this up and fix this is by mining constantly with as much hashing power as you can throw at it. I'm gonna go do more research about an android app, and contact a few people, and I'll be back with what we need. Sounds good. I'm willing to donate GLD or BTC to miners to encourage mining. Whatever it takes to make this work. Do you have any setups of your own? The only other way I think of donating to help support it is give a GLD/BTC bonus for each block found.

I like your idea about paying miners bonuses for block founds. Let's start there. I have created this thread to gather suggestions and ideas for implemening the program: http://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=8.0

Yep, and the dev set the fork/retarget for the 21000 block. the problem is, we'll likely never make it their with all the miners that have hopped off the coin and "dropped it like a bad habit." You can tell the hashrate is decreasing because of the terrible confirm times. I have been waiting 6 hrs for a 100 GLD transaction and just over 4 on a 2000 GLD transaction. In my opinion, the fork must be moved up to immediate status or the coin will not survive.

That is just horrible, I heard the dev was planning another hard fork for block 20,900 http://www.gldcointalk.org/index.php?topic=169.0

This is going to take a week or more to get to 21,000
Heres what I really think would make this coin take off:
1) Change fork to 20,900 2) Change Max adjustment to 110% (would ensure no spike - surrender I have it at 140% - was 400%) 3) Change block re-target to something like 250 blocks - I have it at around 500. ** 4) Possibly change block time to 1 minute, leave reward at 500? (how would this affect the price? if it doesn't, the coin is then profitable as LTC even at difficulty 7, and at say difficulty 2 it would be 400% profitability of LTC.
Personally, I say we change the block times to 1, leave rewards at 500, and move the fork up to 20,900.
**For #3 - reason I didn't bring it down like I said to 125 or 250 is because its possible for someone then to hammer the coin for say 500 blocks, and raise the difficulty 560% - where as with a 500 block re-target, max it would go up is 140%
OR - we simply let this play its course...
Its all up to all of you, please post your comments here, and lets decide. At the least we should move the fork up to 20,900. Sure some will say "thats poor planning" - but I say who cares, as long as it works Just give it up, its over. If you have to change a coin, that much after release, its hopeless. People have already moved on.

Paying people, to mine your coin? That doesn't make people like your coin, genius. Just like paying people to sign up on your forums. They don't support the coin, they signed up for free shit. When you stop paying them, they'll stop mining it. Save your money. WTF is wrong with you people?
