As Op mentioned the price nearing $3000 has given hope for the users who have been in fear thinking about the splitting. As the splitting hasn't taken place users could have shown interest in buying or dumping causing a sudden increase in the circulation of bitcoin around the network. If nothing bad takes place by today we can expect an big growth taking the price towards $4000 - $5000 in a short time period before the year end.

Though the bitcoin heading to $3,000 we should not think is over now as the Btc and bcc issues will be resolved later today and the outcome is what will determine our hope.  Ethereum is being pump right now and not only ethereum but others altcoins and I think people are using there bitcoin to buy those coins.

I think it's actually the other way round - less people willing to part with their BTC before the BCC airdrop. I don't think that much new money is entering the marketjust for some free BCC.

Yep... with BTC being surprisingly stable and blood in the alt coin streets it looks like everyone is prepping for the next round of the alt coin dance. Nonetheless I'm pretty sure that any sudden move of BTC (both upwards and downards) could prematurely end / delay this cycle.

Bitcoin prices have never reached the price of 3000USD. This is a bit weird because we are always hindered by the 3000USD wall.
Everyone would have hoped after fork because of the possibility of rising bitcoin prices there, but the risk of falling prices is still quite large.

People doesn't want to have disturbance on what's the best for the market. All of us will still support the old and orig bitcoin. Why would we choose those coins that are just replica and created from the idea of bitcoin? Though others are doing some improvement on where bitcoin isn't good at, still bitcoin will remain and stable for $3,000 soon.

People will indeed get incentivized to keep holding their coins, but as you probably also know, the sell side of the orderbook is never empty. In order for people to benefit from the BCC airdrop, they will have to buy up the price, which very well explains why the price has gone up. Side effect will be that when people have claimed their BCC's, the BTC price might drop as result of people unloading the coins they bought just for that purpose. And no, new money isn't coming in just because of BCC - it's money people had already sitting in their accounts. Funny thing is that with so many people waiting to dump their free coins, BCC is going to tank real hard at start, where some people might end up dumping at bottom levels.

Now when everyone is breathing again after August 1 has passed without making any harm analisys and speculation will start. I sincerely doubt that anyone will make money on BCC and that users are so eager about free BCC, what's the use of that. To my opinion this just added the new strenght for Bitcoin.

Its really good to see some rising high in the price of bitcoin since last night even at the point where the tension is of the highest but the issue here is that at the same time the volatility is equally at the highest couple with the disruptions that might be witnessed in doing some transactions of bitcoin at this time so for me, I wouldn't want to rely on what the price is saying now until everything has settled down and the trend of price can be determined to a large extent.

we are on our way to reach $3xxx but we need to waiting for more time because i see the price is move up and down really fast and i think people is trying to buy bitcoin before its too late for them. but if the price is down again, make sure we can buy in lower price before it bounce again to the higher price.

The price went higher than $2800 in a shorter time period and all of a sudden it went as close to $2900. Now once again the fluctuation has taken the price down to $2750. This seems to be the right day for profiting through trading, but most of the trading exchanges have paused the bitcoin trading for few days till everything starts to function in the right way.

Bitcoin price was set to increase no matter what BCC has to offer. BCC is just like an Altcoin to Bitcoin. But Segwit is something which will take the price of Bitcoin to the moon. I am quite optimistic about Segwit.

Regarding BCC, it is already being traded and on yobit volume is over 300 BTC at present. Price is quite stable from like 12 hrs i.e. 0.12-0.15 BTC. But still quite less from the estimate and soon when everyone will get it. Price will drop further.

I do only see bitcoins price hits up 2850 and yes its almost hitting up 3k price as of now and possibly would happen after the split or in the end of the day on this August 1. There are lots of exciting moments would happen on bitcoins ecosystem.If we do hit 3k now on this month then possibly we would hit new ATH of upcoming months which is really a great year for us bitcoin users.

I doubt that any of those guys will really dump their BTC for such a crapcoin!
Imo we will see a few days of more wild swing around 2600-2900 before breaking out upside.And once this has happened and 3000 got tested as support I'm pretty sure the FOMO will kick in and could push us easily to 4k in no time.Especially after Segwit got activated, meaning 24-26th of August.
