this may take a while though, but when it breaks the $3000 resistance i'd expect the real rally to begin.

No any blocks were mined in bitcoin cash which shows majority of hashpower is with bitcoin so bitcoin is already safe for transactions. But nobody are being able to move their BCC to sell on high prices.

When all those free BCC will hit market, fiat form them might flow towards bitcoin. So I am expecting over $3k price within next few days.

BTC have already tested $3k few weeks ago when there was no fud about hardfork. But now we all know BCC (drama queen) is struggling to get few of their first block mined while BTC have mined more than 10 blocks, so BCC will not be viable chain and most of the exchanges hasn't started bcc trading.

So I think bitcoin can easily cross $3k and we might see new ATH anytime soon.

In my opinion, the scenario in current is:

Hold Bitcoin -> Receive Bitcoin Cash -> Panic selling to lowest price but Whales have order Bitcoin Cash with cheapest price -> The money from free money going too altcoin -> Make the price of altcoin increasing fast and as recovery -> Whales take profit and use this money for buy Bitcoin Cash more -> After some weeks, Whales dump altcoin and pump Bitcoin Cash for create FOMO on market

Greedy always pays twice. Those who want to buy cheaper BCC not only did not work but you will lose your money. I remain a supporter of bitcoin and I hope that now the price will steadily go up and very soon the psychological barrier of $ 3,000 will be overcome.

Probably bitcoin will reach $4,000 mark this time before november hopefully Since all is calm now and normal, I dont care actually to the BCC weither I have it or not because the only thing that matters to me is bitcoins stability. Probably by November that will be tough month for bitcoin we must better prepare.

Viabtc has already mined the first bitcoin cash block. But I don't think its sustainable in the long end.

I believed so, the price will hover around $2700-$2900 for a while before seeing the magical $3000 barrier being breach. We will test it again for sure and will try to sustain it there we can. Probably a month or 2 is needed and when if its sustainable, then expect the price to rise even more in the future.

This is expected by the community. We all know that fork is just one of the challenges that bitcoin will experience but after that it will definitely give bitcoin a chance to regain its price. Will definitely hit higher in the end of 2017. Exciting tho!

After panicked through out the night, I wake up this morning to find out that bitcoin was henging towards $3,000! I read many topics and comments from expert on cryptocurrency about August first and August first is with us.  I will stay with price action rerther than reading those panicking story online.

Well, a lot of people panicked when they found out about fork which is a challenge to us but since it is August 2, i guess what you did is quite good since you looked for the answer by yourself and not even hearing or reading others opinion about it. And one more thing, you are kinda lucky.

The price of bitcoin almost reach $3000 during the time that transactions such as deposits and withdrawals was temporarily disabled so if you want to sell your coins that time it cannot be process then when they get back to normal bitcoin value back to $2800...I think that is just a marketting strategy for bitcoin surely many are doing their investment right now and waiting for the price of bitcoin to rise again

After all the hard fork issues are done, it is time to continue buying bitcoin, because everyone will do the same so if we delay then the price will continue to skyrocket. Currently $ 3000 next month will reach $ 4500.
