Full disclosure, I'm heavily invested in LBRY. But I think I can make some valid points. Decent looks very pro. Their team pics are on their site and they seemed to have hired on looks. LBRY lacks good marketing, I'm hoping they hire someone soon. Looks can be deceiving though. Decent has had an epically bad ICO. From what I understand, their coins still aren't fully distributed.
LBRY app is very late on beta. Actually, it's technically open to all now, just without an announcement. Another marketing error on LBRY part. Another beta delay would have been better. But if we look at the actual tech, Decent is just a crap torrent system without a real blockchain. A POS, non-mined coin without workers. The network will not have the processing power and you will just have to act as the server. They just used torrent tech and added a worthless crypto. I don't understand in what way they offer what lbry is offering.
LBRY has hash power to back their network, a real blockchain, not w workerless node system. POS should stand for a piece of shit, no idea why some consider it a blockchain. LBRY also is a new protocol designed to give power to users and take it away from the tech giants that monopolize html. Removing the client-server model and using a blockchain as the mediator, that is how you decentralize. DECENT as far as I can tell is just a torrent app with a pretty website, designed to cash in on the ICO craze. Is there something I'm missing?

For now I will say LBRY is better after all, lbry already has exchange and therefore it is easier to trade and buy it. LBRY tech is better too unlike decent which would be a torrent app with pretty website, Im not so sure if it will go up in price. The design will be the only main selling point and if they can't get good torrents that are better than what popular torrent sites offers, it would not be good at all. |

Decent is completely overhyped like lbc was in the beginning. Now lbc is actually having a working product and bad marketing. For decent it is the opposite. No product, but good marketing with fancy design.

Another advantage to LBRY, it can be incorporated into browsers with apps. Now that net neutrality is in danger in the US, if you do all your browsing on a blockchain backed, 256 bit encrypted network, our ISP won't know what to throttle.

For speculators: an ICO will probably give better returns in the short term (stealing from retards). But for the tech, I don't think its even a comparison, DECENT doesn't even have a working product. So its kinda like "Hey! give me money, I'll promise to make you rich somehow". And then you turn around and tell someone else "Hey! wanna buy this shit from me? Its going to make you rich somehow! Discount price!".
yea...........thats pretty much it.
For LBRY is exactly the opposite, they have a crap website. They have very little announcements, They don't give a shit about the price of LBRY credit. They just care about making the product work. And holy crap its working. I mine mostly to pay for the porn and watch people fight spiders and shit right now.

I want to know why the hell they call themselves Decent. Why not Spectacular or Fantabulous?
Why would anyone spend money on something that's just...decent? Huge misstep right out the door IMO.
LBRY folks are nice and very accessible. They're not marketing the product just yet because it's not ready. Makes sense if you're thinking long term.

This is good though, DECENT and LBRY is a very good Litmus test to distinguish Greedy people with little to no understanding of Blockchain technology vs non-greedy people with understanding of this new Tech!
To each their own! See you in 1-2 years (if DECENT didn't run off with your money)

I do not know what are you talking about, the DCT coins have been distributed to the investors two weeks ago, and it has been list on the bittrex, so why do you say nothing exchanger? |

it's luck you invest LBRY but not Decent.it had trade a long time but not give out the bounty . Decent just have a beautiful website but not anything as I see! the dev is very ambitious about their ICO goal,he want 5000 BTC before |

The price of the decent is much higher than the ico price. So the market tells you which is better. |

Your competitor is not Decent, your competitor is all other coins. There shouldn't be a rivalry with fanboyism just because you happened to come across one coin or another, because whenever a crypto that belongs in a niche gets mentioned somewhere and the price rockets, it also benefits the other coins in that nitch. Monero goes up, all privacy coins goes up. Etc.
