it's better to wait when theymos will declare it safe with an announcement, he said so, i would not do any transactions now it's too dangerous, your coins could end in another fork

I would say now, you should hurry, tx fees are quite low due to less transaction  Wink

Even the news header on the forum says at the moment:
Quote
News: Bcash split at approximately 14:00 UTC, but has yet to produce blocks. There are no visible Bitcoin issues, so it seems reasonably safe to transact in BTC.

Bitcoin (BTC) is stable. Quoting theymos (read the header),

Quote

So I'd say you can safely go ahead now.

Right just now, with the announcement of sir Theymos, transacting Bitcoins now is reasonably safe. I think the split is done, the BIP148 has been activated, you do not need to worry since it is safe now.

I think it is completely safe to do the transaction as everything is back to normal already.

Though it is said, as a precautionary step I would not do anything at the moment unless and until Theymos publishes further news. At the moment theymos is only person I could trust and not my friends neither my legal advisor. Hopefully I will not transact at least two more days.

I doubt if the full impact of this will be experienced, until BCC has come into play. I would rather wait to see what will happen

with BCC, before I start spending my BTC. Yes, theymos has announced that it is safe to proceed with transactions, but I still

want to see what happens with BCC. How many exchanges has started accepting BTC withdrawal and deposits?  Huh

BTC is not under any problems. UASF BIP148 already happened, BitcoinCash split already happened, both are irrelevant events and no onecares. No one is mining any of the chain except like 5% of hashrate.

You are safe to go, but be sure to hold your private keys. People are having problems accessing their BTC because they let their BTC on exchanges hoping to instadump their BCC split share. I knew the exchanges would have traffic issues. It's best to wait. If you end up selling at 5$, then so be it, it's better than risking your BTC in the exchanges doing an exit scam.

I Guess its safe now to carry transactions because transaction fees are a bit low now. But according to me, you should wait untill official announcement about bitcoin transactions to me safe. Orelse try with a smaller transaction. There is no.split in BTC i guess. Even Bcash blocks are not found yet.

From the announcements on the dashboard of bitcointalk, thymos already confirmed that it is already safe to transact Bitcoins.

So, I think there is nothing to worry about now. It is all clear to use it. If you want to use BCC though, that would be another issue. You have to follow their instructions on how to safely move it.

I got bitcoins in my wallet in the 11th hours of the morning. Transaction went without problems. It strengthened my faith in bitcoin and now I'm sure that by winter we will see the price of 3500-4000 dollars. This is only the beginning of the climb.

It is safe now, the fork already happened, you just have to choose which client/chain you transact on now.

Received a message from the moderator that the transactions with bitcoin already carry out safely and you can make any transactions with him. However, others advise not yet to rush and warn that the danger is not over. So at your own discretion. But if it is not urgent, with transactions it is better to wait.

It should be safe by now, but according to the message by theymos there is some risk involved until August 10.

It is probably wise to simply wait for a few more confirmations just to be sure.

It is safe now, the fork already happened, you just have to choose which client/chain you transact on now.

You can transact on both. Why would you be limited to one?

Supporting one of the chains is something different though. If you believe in bitcoins then use that only. If you believe in bitcoin cash only, then exclusively use that only. But generally, if you stored your bitcoins in a private key then that would mean you are entitled to both bitcoins and bitcoin cash. Don't pass the opportunity to at least dispose one of them before you stop support either one.

I already made one transaction after fork, didn't had any issues. On the top of the forum you can see message by theymos that you can Bitcoin as you were previously.

Yeah, now you can do transactions on both chains. Btc and bch chains are separate, but there are possibility of replay attacks.

I think you should read this theymos thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.60
We can send BTC but we need about 30 confirmation. Everyithing will be 100 fine when all miners succesful in execute Segwit around 9-10 Aug.

What are you worried about? I think now the bitcoin transaction is safe, and we can use it. I've tried to use some transactions in this day. And this is proven to be able to fast confirm my transaction . It seems your worries are too excessive buddy!
