No it's not. I've transacted a little over 100k in 3 days and got no problem.

I highly doubt if phil government has the capacity to do so. They have more laundering issues with peso to deal with than Bitcoin. If they do, just tell them the truth that you're trading bitcoins. In Philippines, the liquidity flow is being regulated that means, you can only cash out so much in a day. As such, coins.ph's liquidity are based on the customer's account levels. At best, If you're trying to cash out millions it would take weeks. I'm not too familiar with buybitcoin.ph but I believe they have similar liquidity mechanism. The point is, every liquidity flow is already regulated unless you transact p2p.

You may want to review the ff:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory#Southern_Asia

And, there's no tax guidelines when owning bitcoin in phils yet. Government can't tax a currency. So there's none.

It's actually already legal. There has been few applications lined up to bsp for operating ph-based crypto exchanges.

Sa ngayon talaga ay ang malabo pa yon marami pang dapat asikasuhin ng ating gobyerno lalo na ngayon ang priority talaga muna ay paano pababaain ang mga remittances ganun kaysa dito pero base sa mga nababasa ko kasalukuyan na tong pinag aaralan in fact kinikilala na tong as a mode of remitting money at mode of payment ng ating pamahalaan.

That was just recently. I believe coins.ph has a service where you can withdraw from an ATM machine (security bank) without having a card or bank account.

Legal na po pala siya eh, kaso hindi naman po siya as a currency parang one way to remit money pero kumbaga sa cash natin hindi pa siya legal tender pang exchange value lang siya at pang trading talaga,. at least good news to dahil  kinikilala na ng government natin to hindi tulad sa ibang bansa na binaban pa nila to.

May tax na ba ang bitcoin sa atin? last time I check wala pa naman ah ang magbabayad lang sa gobyerno ay ang mga exchanges to have their licenses etc.

Play safe. Earn more.

Bitcoin is currency so paanu nila tataxan?
