Set wallet BitcoinCore version 0.14.2 download the blockchain and sometimes crashes with an error reading data.
System: Windows 7 pro, 64-bit: IntelCore i7-4770K RAM 8 gb DDR

P. S. This error crashes randomly and after restart wallet all right but it's still annoying.
What to do, how to fix this

Looks like a hardware/hard drive problem. Do you have an external hard drive or another hard drive you'd be able to use with that computer (or maybe another computer)?
What are the specs of your computer?

Your database is corrupted. You will need to reindex. You should also run hardware diagnostics to make sure that there are no problems with your memory or disk as those can cause database corruption as well.

Since he says the problem is happening again and again. And that he can get it work, but it happens again, I would guess it is a hardware problem, like jackg said.

It could be DEFENDER or another antivirus.

i had that error nearly 10 times in 1 year, until someone from here (i cannot remember who) recommended me to disable defender, and that was it!, never again another problem.

it seems that defender sometimes confuses part of the blockchain as malware, and screw with it.

--reindex will solve, but disable defender first.

of course it could also be a hardware problem, but since in my case was not, won't hurt to try

It was a good prank, but it is still annoying unfortunate Windows users.

The best case for you would be to find a way to whitelist the files in your AV, if it has that option. Otherwise you just might have to disable it, or even better yet, install Linux. I hope you can solve this and still have an acceptable level of security on your PC.

There are probably AVs that only scan the new files they witnessed appear, so just deleting your AV and installing the one that won't scan your entire disk automatically could solve your problems. Good luck!

Do you know when the malware signatures were added to the transactions, I think I had the same problem a while back but it got to being 2-3 years behind if it was around there?

If you disable your antivirus and don't run any scans (other than scans that don't include the block chain - maybe make a new partition for this if you can)?
Once the chain is downloaded, reenable the AV and it should not delete any of the chain files.

That must've been the problem then as it was about that time the error occurred.

Monero has a smaller blockchain as Bitcoin does.
If you can't work out how to fix it, you could always look at electrum.org.
