Ok please help me. I'm tech-savvy. I did everything as described by Electrum.

However BCC only displays some old 'unverified' transactions in the Electron Cash wallet.

I've switched to a BCH server within the wallet already. Still showing the same, as well as 0 mBCC

Thanks

I use electrum 2.9.  Is there any bitcoin cash for electrum users or not?

If you had any bitcoin in the wallet yesterday at the time of the fork, yes, you already have bitcoin cash as well. You can follow the instructions in the thread posted by the user above or here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.0 to get them.

So does that mean one should not attempt do claim any bitcoin cash?  Also i only have 1 computer.  This computer has electrum.  So that means i cannot claim my bitcoin cash unless i have another computer?

The advice to use another computer is a precaution. Bitcoin cash wallets are new and may have bugs or malware in them. So you should be careful not to expose the private keys, wallet and computer you normally use.

Same problem here...
Got my BTC stored at ELECTRUM.  But how do i get my BCC now, and where should i store them?

CHeers

Follow the steps posted above to get them. They will be accessible through the bitcoin cash wallet you install. You can send them to an exchange or something later if you don't want to keep the wallet around.

Does anyone know how long you can claim the bitcoincash?

For as long as it exists. Any bitcoin cash you got is in the addresses where you had bitcoin and will stay there until you spend them.

And I thought Aug 1 should be soft fork, why is BCH for? A hardfork meant for replacement to bitcoin?

Will be better if you try to ask this question in the bitcoin cash announcement thread. But just keep your bitcoin in the exchange site that already announced that will be distributed the bitcoin cash for every bitcoin holders in exchange site. I think it should become easiest way in this time.

If you have private keys of your current BTC wallet holding your balance then create a new wallet on a new machine and send the BTC from old wallet to the new one.
Then install the BCH wallet and import your old wallet's PK (which now contain 0 balance) in that.

Is there a way to check the bcc balance of an address before executing the private key export process?

There are lots of instructions here, but I understand that nobody has done it properly.

1. Which BCC Wallet do you suggest?
2. I can't see import private key or any other thing in Bitcoin ABC, Bitcoin Unlimited, BTC.com wallet.
I dont have Ledger.
I dont want to download Bitcoin Core
Nobody trusts Electron Cash.

The advice to use another computer is a precaution. Bitcoin cash wallets are new and may have bugs or malware in them. So you should be careful not to expose the private keys, wallet and computer you normally use.

I don't quite understand bitcoin cash, but if I'm not mistaken, we have to send private keys to bitcoin cash wallet, right?

Right.

So, how is it gonna be safe?

It should be safe if you moved your bitcoins out of the original wallet first to another wallet you control. If you did that first and the wallet is empty you can import the private keys to the bitcoin cash wallet without fear of losing your bitcoins. For added safety you should install the bitcoin cash wallet in another computer or in a sandbox or something.

And I thought Aug 1 should be soft fork, why is BCH for? A hardfork meant for replacement to bitcoin?

Don't think it will replace it. But some people weren't happy with the direction the development of bitcoin was taking so decided to create another version of bitcoin. It's basically another altcoin. Distributed to everyone who already had bitcoins.

So you are telling me that as long as i had bitcoin in my electrum during the fork, then i would get the amount of bitcoin no matter what?

Of bitcoin cash, yes. An equal amount to what you had in bitcoin.

How long do i have before i could claim these bitcoin cash?

There is no time limit. And you don't have to claim it. It's already in the addresses where you had bitcoin. What you have to do is import the corresponding private keys to a bitcoin cash wallet. After you moved the bitcoin out of the original bitcoin wallet of course. In case the other wallet has any problems or is malware.

So as of now, if i send any btc to sites or anyone else, this has no effect on my bitcoin cash right?

Shouldn't have. But you may want to make sure it can't by following the advice posted above first. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.0

If you have private keys of your current BTC wallet holding your balance then create a new wallet on a new machine and send the BTC from old wallet to the new one.
Then install the BCH wallet and import your old wallet's PK (which now contain 0 balance) in that.

Is there a way to check the bcc balance of an address before executing the private key export process?

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/blocks maybe? Haven't tried it very well yet.

In my way, I use Electron Bitcoin Cash wallet for claim it, but I worry it in future can use my private key imported and hack my Bitcoin. So, after I imported my private key to this wallet, I send all Bitcoin from the address of this private to other address and devs this wallet can't hack my funds hehe.

If you not know wallet for claim Bitcoin Cash, you can read in this thread with more detail:

Should have done it the other way around. Move all the bitcoins out of your original addresses to an address on a completely different wallet first. And then install and give the private keys from the original addresses to the bitcoin cash wallet.
