It seems the ico has no cap and this time is just filecoin, there are still several coins of IPFS behind, besides, the coin is locked at least six months, is it worth buying?

IPFS is great, but there's indeed a lot of blockchain related projects about it. It's hard to find the winners. Filecoin does have the name advantage and I believe there was also some important guy behind it that founded Java or something? Not sure.

I think the technology is great but we need to advance the applications and make it easier to use. That's the only way for real adoption.

I do not think that there is an ICO for it. Are we talking about the same thing? https://ipfs.io/ or I am missing something here. As I understand ipfs is provided without any crowdfunding where you can host the nede within their network if you wanted to.

https://medium.com/@ppio/differences-between-ppio-filecoin-storj-20cdf7b3b02e

Talk about difference between Filecoin(IPFS storage project), Storj and PPIO.
It's written by the CEO of PPIO so it is potentially biased.
