Did you even read the card that came with the miner? Did you also get the Avalon controller for it? If not you need to get a RasPi and follow these instructions RasPi setup
Also look at Avalon Setup Video

Of course all of this is easily found on the Canaan website if someone at least tries to look there first...

Hi,
Thank you for reply. I have controler and i managed to find it on network. It looks i didn't have firmware (i thought it would be there from factory)on memory card but i got it there now and i was able to log in.

I have registred on btc.com pool.
Where do i find Adress for pool to put in miner?

IS it this?
    stratum+tcp://eu.ss.btc.com:1800
    stratum+tcp://eu.ss.btc.com:443
    stratum+tcp://eu.ss.btc.com:25

and then my username.001?

What mining software i should use ?

Thank you.
Sorry for stupid questions but everyone has to learn and start somewhere, so if you help me to get started i can send you a reward in btc

I recommend the Kano pool.
https://www.kano.is/
No need to register, just need a BTC address. Directions are given on the site.

I use cryptocurrency and solar power to help my best friend Naomi Wu... And I'm proud of it!

A. Go to Kano's thread here in Pools for direct support.
B. Did you enter a BTC wallet address for rewards to be sent to? Won't mine if there is no address to verify and sent rewards to...

yes i set payout address,
it seems there is no data send/recieved from miner. if i check my network devices it show up miner but 0 data send/recieved
does it need mining software to start it?

So i got kano pool address set in my miner, but in network configuration page it shows:
miner ip adress :   192.168.0.100
gateway and DNS: 192.168.0.1

but my BT broadband IP is 192.168.1.254

Does it mean that i have to change miner (avalon 741) IP address from 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.1.100
and gateway & DNS address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 ?

it looks like miner is not connected to internet, just to the router/broadband.

Also should my worker name have format username.worker or just username?

Thank you

Either set it to DHCP or set the miner IP to 192.168.1.100 and the gateway to 192.168.1.254 . For the DNS, I suggest using Google DNS 8.8.8.8 .

Thank you very much, its running now. dhcp worked.

now if i use cgminer on start it ask for url ( i used stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333)
then it ask for username.

Should i use just my username i used when i registred in kano pool or should it have format username.worker
