Worked fine on the test web page I created; but since it required JavaScript, I did not want to implement it in production.

It doesn't require javascript on your site. But there is javascript on our checkout page that the users are sent to.

Some people might use noscript, adblock and other blockers for increased security/privacy.
Have you thought about that ?

Well, it would be helpful if mtgox didn't say "ERROR" and instead give me more detailed debugging information.

Of course fivegrinder uses mtgox as a payment processor, if you just need to confirm that it can work.
