I am relatively new to the concept of bitcoin and want to make some bitcoins. I've read up as much as I can on how to make them without big investments and I want to know if it would be effective to mine on my phone, seeing as i only want somewhat  small amounts.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

If by "to mine on the phone" you mean to literally mine bitcoins on your smartphone, then the short answer is - no, you can't.

The long answer is it won't be worth it. CPU of the smartphone is pretty weak, the videocard usually is not prepared for such kind of work too, battery will not last for long, smartphone may break down due to continuous overheat, and so on. So amount of btc generated by smartphone will not cover your expenses for electricity and for hardware.

You cant mine Bitcoin in mobile phone.
Just try using some Bitcoin faucet to earn a little satoshi on it.

You can mine certain altcoins with it, but that's only worth it for an old/cheap phone with next to no resale value. Even buying a $20 phone just to mine with isn't a good bet anymore. (It has been a year since the days when you could get a ~2 week break even on $20 Moto Es.)

I use cryptocurrency and solar power to help my best friend Naomi Wu... And I'm proud of it!
