Maybe we should start a bounty for whomever solves the next block. I am restarting my singles and my KNC jupiter will be here in a couple of hours so I can add 500+ more GH to the cause. With delivery courier DFW AIRPORT, TX - USA 08:56 Make sure you have a Star SD-20 driver to remove the case lid. Usually some of the heatsink fans manage to jar loose in transit - the fan shields are pressure fit, so they just snap into place - and you'll want to fix that before you power on....

Yep I have the Star SD-20 driver. Will an Inwin 1200 Commander 2 work just fine as a power supply? What do I need to do to get it up and running? Just plug it into the internet router and then login to it and change the settings? Thanks

Just plug it into the internet router and then login to it and change the settings? Thanks That's pretty much it - that PSU should work fine. If it comes with version 0.95 firmware you shouldn't need more than a 750 watt supply. Pop the top and check the heatsink fans. Connect to router. Don't forget to connect the 5 pin connector along with the 4 PCIe 6 pin connectors when hooking up power. When it boots up you will see the brightest LED you have ever experienced light up on the controller board - that's a good thing It takes a couple of minutes to boot up fully. You need to find the IP the router assigned it, and open that IP in a browser. Go to the services tab and enable SSH - it's disabled by default. Once you SSH in you will find the cgminer config file in /config and it is called (surprise) cgminer.conf To connect to the running instance of cgminer, enter screen -dr To disconnect from the screen session before logging out, hit CTL-A followed by lower case d If you need to restart the cgminer instance (because you killed the cgminer screen session somehow) the command is screen cgminer -c /config/cgminer.conf That's about everything you need to know about it in a nutshell.... -R-

Good to know you keep an eye on our little pool. I was referring to shares, but I assume you are going to prove me wrong.

Given how bad my pool's luck was at the start of the diff I'm expecting to find a 9-10x (harder to tell since I don't track individual block rounds).

There have definitely been greater than 7x diff rounds. I know deepbit has had 11x. But has any pool had a round with more than 1,963,423,807 shares?

My rough math shows my worst round this diff in the 1.6-1.7b range. Definitely not rough enough math to be off by an extra 250m shares.

You may be right.
Unfortunately in my case, this is one time that being right doesn't put a smile on my face.

It is now up and running. It is very quiet and not much heat. The packaging was terrible and one of the fans fell off in shipping. But the machine is pretty. I wish the math made sense to buy another one but at 1BTC per day at this difficulty it makes no sense to spend 31BTC on another one of these machines. By the time I got it at the end of Nov. I think it would be lucky to make .5 BTC a day.

Very true. Just glad I got mine and it has a chance of reaching ROI, even if that chance is remote.
