Hi All

So I've missed the boat of bitcoin and want to get back into cryptocurrencies again.

I've got an old bigbargain.co.uk account that I haven't used for a couple of years so bitbargain is now asking me to produce verification of 3 forms of ID with a photo of myself.   
the question is...

Is this standard these days in the crypto currency market?

How safe is bigbargain.co.uk these days? 

It seems a bit excessive
