Ok so if you have ordered an Antminer D3 in first batch due to ship sept 18 cost per unit paid was $2700.00. Now Bitmain has released batch #2 shipping in october at $1599.00 per unit ?? Well this sucks if you ordered batch number #1. How can price drop $1100.00 is a few days. What do everyone think of this price drop was it worth buying in first batch or not? Is Bitmain being fair to first in line customers ? Huh

A "fair" price is the one which people are willing to pay.  I'd figure given the sudden surge of competing products they saw a need to lower it to remain competitive.

Well yeah that makes sense, but the competition is Ibelink 10.08 ghs at $6000 usd and Innosilicon A5 at $10000.00 usd.......So for Bitmain to have dropped price by 40 % it makes Bitmains price between 73% ibelink and 80% innosilicon lower than competition.

Well actually it's not bitmain scamming but ibelink and innosilicon because they are over charging people when bitmain has one 1/4 price.

Surely you aren't so naive. I would MUCH rather have a batch 1 D3 @ $2700 than a batch 2 D3 @ $1600. The batch 1 units will earn way more than the $1100 difference during the month delay between batch 1 and batch 2.

why cant all the newbies just read about what mining difficulty is, instead of posting stuff like this.

I'll give you $15000 for a D3 right now, delivered to my door tomorrow.

In November, I'll pay you $1000 for a D3.

The longer it takes for you to get the machine, the more worthless the machine is.

In August a D3 is worth $15000 based on a  3 month ROI

in September (start of) it'll be worth around 10000 based on a 3month ROI

in October (batch 1 release in customers hands at this point) it'll be worth around $5000 based on a 3 month ROI

in November it'll be worth around $2000 based on a 3 month ROI

by December, a D3 wont be worth it if its cost is much over $1000.

edit: innosilicon's delivery date is way too late, thought it was this month. at $10k a pop vs 2 D3s that sold for $1600 each....ouch

ibelink should be ok still, if delivered on time.

bitmain has a long history of gouging and disregarding customers, why would now be any different?

•I have preordered Antminer D3, Payment method by bank
•Should the bank account be in my name? Or does not it matter that the account is in the name of the beneficiary?

Not sure how Bitmain will handle your wire. Best bet is to take pics of your bank wire documents and email the images to Bitmain support requesting them to credit to your account number.
MAKE SURE YOU PUT ORDER NUMBER ON WIRE MESSAGE AREA!

I hate Bitmain's price policy. Sometimes they raise and drop prices ridiculously. The biggest reason why they can do this is to become a monopoly, someone must be a rival to them!

Yeah I saw an article stating they had found Bitmain was shipping used miners as NEW. Apparently miners arrived with dust on boards and some other sign of being used.

Bitmain also has a history of price wars - ask Spondoolies about the SP20/S5 wars.... oh wait you can't, they went bankrupt.....

Yup - There's no such thing as a "new" AntMiner. Bitmain tests all of them for at least 72 hours (usually longer). While they're obviously profiting immensely, it also means we're much less likely to get a dead miner when delivered. Seems like a reasonable practice to me. After all, they clearly told us *when* the miners would ship. They didn't say anything about shipping as soon as they were ready. If they were mining AND delayed delivery - that would be cause for anger.

iBeLink had most or all of their new miners SOLD by the time Innosilicon and Bitmain announced THEIR miners.

At the ORIGINAL price of the D3, the A5 was high but not crazy high on price (if it meets it's announced specs) given it's much higher performance AND quite a bit higher efficiency.
Innosilicon DOES need to look at adjusting their price though if they want to be close enough to competative to be able to SELL any more A5 units.

Ibelink is now announcing another Miner DM22G https://ibelink.co/blog/ delivery in October seems Innosilicon will have a much harder fight to ROI.
