Well 1st of all altcoin are just terms for any cryptocurrency that is not btc because off course btc is the founding fathers. Altcoin also provides services to the community depending on what is its agenda and they have there own currency as payments for the transaction. You can mine then but that's another story. That's just the simplest terms but try and read more over the community and read also any other altcoins in the web to have any grasps on its concepts.

Everything not called bitcoin is technically and altcoin which is short for alternative coin. They are basically similar functioning coins and codes to bitcoin but because bitcoin was the first one everything is alternate to it. Not sure if thats the google definition but thats how I understand it

Altcoins is just anotber bitcoins or same as Bitcoins.   Just a explanations in your country your money country name is what ? here in Philippine money name is Phillipine Peso (PHP) the value is 0.000001 cents if you compared in other Money in world like USA the value of 1$ in usd to php is 49 PHP so 1$ to php is 49 pesos just like btc the leading crypto. Simple understanding altcoin is an abbreviation for alternative for bitcoin so all of the coins out there except bitcoin is an altcoin like etherium, monero, pillar etc..even bitcoincash (bch) is considered as an altcoin.

Sir, I just want to ask, in bounties their rates are in stakes, what does this mean and how are we able to get paid with this stakes? I just don't understand this yet, can you explain to me, or to other newbies? Thank you in advance for understanding my situation sir.

if i am not wrong, stakes is like one pieces which is share to participants. in bounties, participants will do what the manager ICO wants or participants will choose what the campaign that is suit with him like you can choose facebook campaign, twitter campaign, blog media campaign, and else. from this, there are a share that you can get if the manager is approve. if the ICO is finished, then the manager will calculate how much stakes you own and then will divide with the percentage of total coins which is distributed to participants.

usually the stakes will be give after the ICO is ends and after the manager finished the calculation for each participants. for ICO which is base with ethereum, participants can add wallet address from myetherwallet or another wallet to receive the total amount of the coins. but i don't know too much about how much you will get paid because the calculation for the stakes is different from one ICO to the others so better you ask the manager of ICO.

i hope you can understand and i am sorry if i can explain too much because i am not too understand about this maybe there are another members will give complete than me.

I would simply explain it this way for you, mate. If it is not bitcoin it is automatically an altcoin. Altcoin stands for alternate crptocurrencies. It includes every other coin save for bitcoin. Even bitcoin cash is an altcoin basically.
