If you check their FAQ, they say not to keep large amounts there and to use some other wallet. It s great for every day use but for full time storage, use something else.
that's true and considering exodus wallet aren't in bitcoin.org wallet list , i wouldn't recommend it. for a small transaction it's always worth to try , and of course never be a good idea to store your large amount of bitcoin in a third party wallet provider. sure safer you use your own wallet , i mean a wallet that allow you to hold the private key alone.

I have downloaded the latest version of Exodus wallet. I tried to play with it and I can't find the options to have your own set of private keys. Meaning you don't have total control of that wallet. I will used this wallet just, but not for storing used amount of bitcoin but just to see how the conversion of bitcoin-ETH will be. And I think it will only give you 2 btc address if I'm not mistaken. So no option to create multiple address to give for every transaction who want to make. And I don't know if you can control the fee's as well. I have to double check.

Which means, it is still good to use elctrum wallet than this one. Because in electrum wallet, your bitcoin is very safe to storage it in there for it has password, private and phrase key word before you can open it and withdraw your bitcoin balance.

Electrum is the best wallet for me so far. You can have multiple receiver address which is good if you have multiple transaction across for easy tracking. Of course you have total control of the seeds and the private key plus you can set up the fees for yourself because it support dynamic fees.
they are a new wallet , launched within 2 years and getting popular recently. my concern only on how they aren't in the bitcoin.org wallet recommend list , the other things like private key that didn't held by the third party for me are a plus value , sounds like promising enough. just not yet recommended especially when you are talking about huge amount.

If you notice here and there the site you are mentioning needs to be updated and fresh content added. It's a little an old website with information displayed not really updated

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Not really. Actually, the last commit to the website was made 5 hours ago. You can see it here[1].
The thing is that someone needs to make a Pull request with Exodus added, so they can review the wallet and maybe consider adding it.

Btw, I don't think Exodus is open source. Which IMO makes it even harder to the them getting on that list.

In order not to create misinformation you have to read the FAQs and support of the site ...

If you want to have access to advanced menus (in windows) you simply have to move the mouse in the window of Exodus, ... then simultaneously ctrl + Shift + D ... and you will see that there is everything in the advanced menu ... also the possibility of have private keys and other settings ... after closing and reopening the exodus, the menu will disappear again, being necessary, for other settings each time you need to redo Ctrl + Shift + D ...
I find it very interesting, the only thing is that it has less coins than Jaxx ...

Exodus is just like blockchain.info wallet where you will never get access to your private keys but your keys might not be shared with their server.
No. You can check your private key in Exodus. Check out here: http://support.exodus.io/article/86-how-can-i-view-my-private-keys
Do proper research first.

Trying Exodus so far and it's pretty handy with their outstanding feature and not consuming your pc power that much. Unfortunately, you can't sign message on Exodus I guess didn't find it anywhere so I think they would be thinking for that problem.

I have been using the wallet for almost a year and have had no problems. I have had discussions with the developers and they are very accessible. The wallet performs very reliably. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

I've been using Exodus for like 5 months and they are nice to use. Although it's missing some features like signing messages and some hardfork updates. However, for security and lightweight use, I'd recommend to use Exodus cuz it doesn't need to download tons of GB just for syncing up your machine to the network.

Since this wallet is not entirely open source(you can see some parts of code here https://github.com/ExodusMovement) &“Quite Vulnerable” was detected, this will weaken its safety.
It generally has many advantages than disadvantages and offers many reliable services with zero problems.
No one reported a software/protection problem(you can trust it).
Just export your private key and keep it save  Wink

Exodus is growing exponentially in cryptocurrency market. Its features are good and easier for crypt currency traders. His interface, charts and personalization options make it more popular. I read Exodus Wallet Review here in details and find potential in this.

I see Exodus is one of the wallet which is listed on many Bitcoin wallet review. Even the link you have says the same. If you wish to have your fund on secured wallet. This is one of the option for you.
I recent install this wallet. I really feel smooth and handy like how I using electrum wallet so far.
I am not sure how to modify the fee on this wallet. If you know that, share it below...

As many are one term investors so I always recommend them to store it offline. And for trades or short term investors or having small portion of btc they should always use the best of the online wallets or exchanges to store and use their crypto currency. Better to use the best rather than suffering at the end.

Exodus fully supports export of your private keys.

Just do CTRL-SHIFT-D to enter into developer mode, and then use the Developer/Assets/[Asset Name]/Export Private Keys menu.

Warning that your private key is effectively your wallet, so never share it online.

lol the entire second page of this thread is filled with trashy posts! Newbies are certainly to be misleading if the read whatever posted here. Exodus runs on JavaScript and Electron. Electron itself has a number of bugs and they are yet to make a stable API. Hence they are not heavily used for creating desktop applications. If installed on Windows, there are very easy targets of any virus or key loggers in general.

what exactly do you mean by everyday use. If at the end of day I have to transfer all my funds off why even bother using it at all.
Thats exactly the point. We do have different choices when it comes to wallets that we do actively use because of such convenience or features but as being advised it would be just good to make it as a medium not literally a storage for long term aspect or tending to make it as a main wallet. I've once as exodus wallet user but i do find out some wallet which is more better and does really suits my interest/security and convenience but just to say that not all wallets are considered safe, there would always a risk if you are careless enough.
